I recently got some of those reflective triangles for my & my son's road kits.

This winter my teenage son slid partially of our dirt road and got stuck. A neighbor stopped to try to help him, mostly blocking the road on the hill. Some idiot, driving way faster than safe for the conditions, crested the hill at a high rate of speed with no where to go on the road. I was on my way to help him and saw the car barreling towards my son and his car and thought he was going to be killed. Luckily the driver drove off the road into the deep snow and missed him. I spent the next hour sitting at the top of the hill telling traffic to slow down and warning them about the road being blocked until my son was pulled out.

If we'd had the emergency triangles, we could put them out and it would let traffic know to slow down.

All these people getting a sadistic, gleeful laugh out of the perceived “failure” of the recent SpaceX Starship launch because of a shallow, politically motivated contention towards Elon is incredibly telling. It shows their shallow, childish perspective of what this all means.

What they don’t realize is that this launch (even though it exploded) is a gigantic step forward for advancing many aspects of technological innovation and understanding. EVERYTHING about this rocket was new, pushing many envelopes of innovation.

The information gathered from this launch, and the very simple fact that the rocket gained altitude and critical velocity is an overwhelming success in and of itself. It proved many theoretical concepts, answered physics conundrums, advances material science innovations, and with this knowledge DRAMATICALLY improves cost-per-pound for terrestrial AND extraterrestrial transportation, as well as provides datasets for technology development even we as the layman can use in our everyday lives, and even improve energy efficiencies. Some things I think we can all agree are great benefits for humanity.

I’m not a fan of Elon’s, and reserve some pretty distinct distrust of his motives. But to get a laugh out of this event just because of the perverse will to be accepted part of a politically charged crowd is truly saddening. It shows that people are more motivated by expressing negative ideological differences to be a part of a crowd than in expressing positive, collective societal improvements. Observation of this mentality just shows me how shallow many people still are.

Events like this USED TO galvanize national pride (and grief) into a positive, constructive ethos. But this increasingly polarized culture perpetuated by media is tearing us apart.

For those who find glee in this shallow-perceived “failure” I would simply suggest to you…

Wake up, grow up, and think independently once again.

Are likes a form of dopamine? Are they truly rewarding or just something we have grown addicted to?

Does OnlyZaps increase the zapping? Do we have metrics?

Does OnlyZaps decrease the onboarding / initial retention?

Do we have metrics?

Are people engaging / responding more?

Do we have metrics?

Is this in our DNA? Appears to be a wedge issue? Is this a left brain / right brain divide?

AOL and MySpace did not have likes. Did users then seemed healthier? Would likes have made those spaces better?

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram all use likes. All seemed to become mentally unfit. Did likes contribute to this? Or are they just an algo driver? A form of emotional support ? A form of clout chasing?

Are Likes Proof of Stake, Zaps Proof of Work?

Looking for #advice , my wife and I are thinking about getting a #cricut and looking for recommendations. Maybe for iron-ons, vinyl for stickers, templates for tracing, etc. just an all around good one that doesn’t require brand specific material and will let us do a wide range of stuff. #grownostr #sidehustle

So far we don't get anything in the Sleep Number line.

I would contact the manufacturer. When we have missing parts like that, we have had pretty good luck getting them from the manufacturers for a reasonable charge.

Also most remotes I've seen have to be synced to the unit. If it never worked, or stopped working when the batteries went dead, you might pull the battery cover off and see if there's a way to sync it.

We got a display model Sleep Number mattress from a guy that sells them out here. Only problem is no remote. Do you ever come across remotes or complete pump sets for these? I need to either buy a remote or an older version with the corded controls. I can crawl under there and get the model if you think you might find one.
