I just experienced another successful sunrise. Granted I was sleeping, but I still think it counts.

In a society that profits from your self doubt, liking yourself is a rebellious act.

The food is pretty ok for fast food, but has never impressed me, but there are a couple in my area that impress me with the number of people they serve.
Just out!

CrowdHealth has a new podcast! And it's good.
The Sovereign Health Podcast. You can find it on the various pod feeds and YouTube.
Right?!!!
4 months on carnivore! I'll probably go get some blood work done in a couple of months, but anecdotally, every marker of health has improved dramatically.
To be fair it hasn't been a perfect 4 months. I had a nasty virus that hung on for a few weeks, a business trip, some minor cheats for various reasons, not enough fat in my diet during one period, and the initial transition period.
I feel like I'm becoming more fat adapted and the middle aged health maladies are all going away. Normal blood pressure, better pulse, better breathing, less joint cracking, better joint stability, better sleep, improved mental clarity, memory, focus, and mood, weight loss, muscle gain, and so on.
It is a slightly boring way of eating to be honest, although I have never cut out spices, garnishes, mushrooms, and similar incidentals. I also eat some avocados.
At some point I still think I might go low carb/keto-vore, but I would like to get the excess weight off first. I still have 2 inches to lose for my waist to be half of my height.

My native bamboo AKA Rivercane is still sending out more shoots! This is the third year I've tried to grow it, and the first time I have gotten it to take. The tallest shoots are almost waist high, so while it is still a bit fragile it looks like it's going to do fine.
I have a pretty large space for it to fill in a hollow, maybe half an acre, so this is a bit of a long-term project intended to control runoff, capture eroding soil, create biodiversity, and obviously grow canes that can be useful for a variety of purposes.
For those wondering, yes this is a running type like people complain about being hard to control, which is pretty much exactly what I need to fill this space.
For those interested in growing it in smaller areas there are actually ways to control it. Also we are at the northern end of its native range, and I don't expect it to be quite as vigorous here as it is farther south.

If you are doing moderate amounts of exercise, avoid problem foods including once you have food intolerances to, and eat enough food and get enough fat you may feel more energy. The drop in energy thing mainly affects people who are extremely active pushing the limits of human endurance. That said if you go straight carnivore cold turkey so to speak, most people do have a significant adjustment period for the first 3 weeks or so.
It's worth doing a bit of research first to see what people are reporting and how it might affect you so you can plan and know what to expect.
I am not really exercising, but I am reasonably active. With a low-carb diet that gets you into ketosis, most people find they are able to lose weight without exercising while keeping their energy up. People who are extremely physical do sometimes notice an energy drop through the first few months until they become more fat adapted.
If you are interested in looking up something similar to what I'm doing, keywords would include carnivore, ketovore, the proper human diet, zero carb, low carb, keto and so on. There are various online groups for most or all of these as well as a number of YouTubers and podcasters. I hope you find something that works for you!
I'm not sure what's up with that, I'm seeing it too.
This isn't one I planted. I think it might have come up from an old root.
