I’m thinking going into this next bull run: With expecting all the questions to come up from people around us finding curiosity and interest in this thing in the news and not knowing much of anything about it, do you think it is critical to introduce the thought or concept of “bitcoin the worlds largest computer network and new blockchain technology” being separate and different than the side they see in the news of only “bitcoin, this speculative new money”.
Do you thing it’s important to introduce the concept of bitcoin being more than money when somebody is first hearing and learning about it? Or is it best to have the simple idea of bitcoin as new money and all the things it can do with JUST that use case be the only and easiest introduction to Bitcoin?
Sometimes I think overloading with too much information can be detrimental to the “orange pilling”, but I just don’t know where that line of too much initial info even IS.
And I know it’s obviously different for each individual and their level of knowledge, exposure, similar field expertise, etc. But I’m curious to know what others think is the GENERAL barometer for healthy discussion that can move the get real public forward. This concept above on just discussing “what bitcoin IS” is really one of the only bigger points i’m not sure how to handle.

What makes it to me is the zoom in of the relay and client. This really is something special the more you think about it. Having your own information that belongs to you and seeing that info appear the same through all these different clients is incredible. Truly flipping the script on Web2. Seems as though Primal is not letting me create Notes or reply to others, but It is working fine on Damus and Nostur. Is it something on my end? Is it as simple as needing to reenter my nsec? Or double check syncing or something?

I'm at the point where I need to start opening up about my thoughts on the whole crypto ecosystem and see who else I know comes out of the woodwork that would spark this kind of convo haha. Otherwise l, like you said, would rather just connect with a community like this where I have more in common. Better maybe this way. At least for now.
Just did the same recently! Never had a twitter account either haha so went from old fart to cutting edge 😂 But I will say, it IS still a little too difficult for the fully novice non-orange pilled. You have to really want to be a part of this change and how it works to make enough of an effort to get yourself fully set up right. But we are on our way for sure. And following nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s and seeing all the things he is posting about for the future makes me that much more excited and confident we will get there. 👍
Why do you say that?
I'm trying to create thought provoking and question-raising conversation starters for shirts. This is one of my personal favorites, "Desensitize Decentralized" because its a good one to get to the core of the issues with the current fiat system. But I have others like "Digital Gold for the Bold", "Beyond Borders", "Your Keys Your Bitcoin", "Be Your Own Bank", and another personal favorite: "Unchain Your Potential"

I think it’s a great idea. It also shows off the ability of the networking aspect in general to balloon and bubble up in different spaces as regions. Feeding into the networking aspect of the chats and the relays

Yea I’m currently cycling between damus, primal, and nostur to see what UX/UI I like the most. But maybe it is actually best to continue to cycle between 🤔 That way you are constantly exposed to new features and formats and don’t get too used to or tied to one thing. If you aren’t constantly looking to improve or FIND improvements, you either fall behind or become too “comfortable”
Yea I’m thinking the same thing haha never was really into technology and the internet when I was younger, but I’m feeling like the last 5 or 6 years in my life have brought about a renaissance and I’ve gone from thinking, “that’s not my world, I don’t belong there” to thinking, “my life changes as I grow and change. I make my life what I want, and if this has been my passion for years, I will find a way to make that passion more a part of my life”
I have found new talents and creative outlets. I love what this computer network has brought to my life and I love feeding into it. You will find other talents if you like, or you can wait to bring your talents when you think it can progress the community forward.
Thats another amazing feature of this network and this money. It rewards work and bringing value, WHATEVER that value may be.

People say it normally takes 3 times for bitcoin to register in your psyche and take notice. Exposure over a small handful of interactions could be what sets somebody else on a path of curiosity, questioning and experimenting. Even just having products like these shirts (and stickers coming very soon!) can be what somebody needs to see to jumpstart their own bitcoin journey…
