Secondo me ledger ha dovuto implementare questa funzione a causa di pressioni governative. Inizialmente il servizio sarà facoltativo e a pagamento ma immaginate in un prossimo futuro quali possano essere le conseguenze con normative più restrittive e fatte ad ok. Sarà molto semplice individuare i wallet proprietari e addirittura confiscarli essendo associati ad un ID. La possibilità che si possa estrapolare il seed attraverso un aggiornamento firmware va contro il concetto base di autocustodia e privacy. Fortunatamente ad oggi esistono alternative molto valide tipo coldcard, bitbox e jade.
