figuring it all out I appreciate your humor, insight, and your post whether or not I agree

I'm not saying you or any one else I'm following is a small account by any means haha.

Just it makes more sense to me with this new social media that after a couple responses for any one post, someone is likely to get more overwhelmed rather than less.

So if those large accounts get dozens of replies, there's no way they can empathetically respond to everyone there and I can see that going one of 2 ways: they become jaded celebrity and it affects their personality or they just leave altogether because it's like another job .

So I like how Nostr is like organically facilitating small group discussions and super ambitious people out of those can take the ideas over somewhere else and circulate them.

One day we will be discovering new Nostr social Networks and they will have cracked the code of something months prior and we will only hear about it now. Because of decentralization.

I do still follow Jack, so when his posts pop up, it's kinda like God issuing a statement. But he does that rarely, so I assume he has his Jesus profile walking among us to distribute loaves and fishes.

I had to do that too recently, and I wish I had a way to filter for anyone that I haven't interacted with and just remove those. I mainly do that when I realize Im spending too much time scrolling. I removed just ones that I don't ever remember seeing or responding to.

I also did the following: unfollow all big accounts (like Derek etc) even tho they seem like cool people. Mainly if they say something important that I should know, one the smaller accounts that I interact with will probably mention it. So it's like an information hierarchy or kinda like a smaller working group session.

I don't look at my follower list anymore. I realized that's a dangerous pitfall bc if I notice someone drops off, I then go into this spiral of "what did I say that offended them".

My mantra now is it's their business whom they follow. It's my business whom I follow.

The little blue notification on the bell on this Amethyst app is so beautiful to me. I don't know why.

i'm still optimistic, but i live with someone who is receiving the "left" brainwashing while i'm receiving the "right" propaganda.

the same youtube/news algorithms that serve me right-wing feel good content of Trump in garbage costumes are serving him "trump is leaning into hateful Puerto Rico 'garbage' rhetoric ", "'gilded age' is dog whistle rascism", "educate your friends about the red-wave phenomenon on election day", "it's going to look like republicans are winning until all the ballots are counted later".

the paranoid part of me says, the state will claim Harris winner, use either AI generated or real violence to declare Emergency orders to implement social medai crackdowns and then social/environmental credit system.

then US will finally once again be a colony of some elite group if it wasn't already.

the good news is that NOSTR & bitcoin will be on fire in that scenario!

I heard an interesting conversation on Nostr about this when I first joined like 6months ago. wish I could find it.

Some people are really good at mapping out the possibilities and assigning some probability and how to plan around them.

I'm sure some people will think it's better not to plan and just live every day.

A lot of successful people seem to live each day as it comes, but who knows if deep down they are reflexively planning and they just don't say it.

Does rowing machine cut it IYO?

Yes, I think I heard him describing the free banking time period and his excitement that Bitcoin might bring that back in one of Cathie's In The Know podcasts.

And Cathie always mentions how the telegraph, auto, light etc came about during that era.

"gilded age" sounds like Art Laffer is getting to Trump.

It's unreal to see the "gilded age" moniker being programmed to become the new "project 2025" of whatever fear words

I've never had a computer just become a complete unresponsive brick.

Usually the screen flickers or there's a hum or a click when it's plugged in.
