Babies are too smart. They are interested in fidgeting with objects their parents and siblings use daily. This board might amuse them temporarily, then it's on to the toilet, the beer cans, stove, mic stand, laptop, trash can, dog ears. The world is their oyster and fidget board is just false signal because daddy always touches his mobile device, dangerous tools and beer cans.

Cool thing is that whatever you do for them, is worth it.

I love the song Where is my mind. There is this old piano where I live and I decided to learn to play the Maxence Cyrine version of the Pixies song. I found the piano was horribly out of tune and I got annoyed trying to playing anything.

Ordered a piano tuning kit online. Found the tuning data on wikipedia. Used an android app (Pano tuner) on my phone to measure the hertz as I was damping and tuning strings.

Now two months later I can play the song I love.

I can do something as esoteric as piano tuning because there are no barriers, trade secrets and pay walls between me and my desires.

Small example of how the price of tomorrow is getting cheaper by the year. Imagine the value of sound money in this deflationary world.

Me and my wife hodling while the world is ending.

Burnt gunpowder, Sulpher, Ash and dust. Concrete and blood.

Basically this.

The smell might change after a couple of years.

Social security is Stockholm syndrome.

Many a time when I was in dire straits the people who helped me I did not know beforehand and I never heard from them again. Did not even ask their name in some cases.

I was saved from drowning twice. Once in a pool when I was 6 and once in the ocean when I was 17.

An old man and his wife jumped my vehicle when it died and I was with my wife and our baby.

Once I was travelling long distance and my vehicle broke down, I had my family with me. I was towed 40 kilometers by a guy and his brother in law given place to stay for almost a week while they had my vehicle repaired.

I know their names and am still in contact with them.

A guy I did not know paid my vets bills for my dog's broken leg after he ran under my car.

I could mention a lot of other events.

I made a lot of mistakes in my teenage years and cost people a lot in emotional and economic damage.

The point is that I have helped other people in need when I was in a position to assist them and they owe me nothing because I am indebted to others who required nothing from me in return.

Many of us are just good Samaritans who also get beat up every once in a while. It keeps you humble.

If social media threatens democracy is democracy worth defending?

(I don't believe that social media threatens democracy. They only say it because they are not allowed to speak the truth.)

Social media really only threatens centralized control of ideology and narrative.

The gatekeepers of information and knowledge are threatened by free speech and protocols that enable it.

They are more than threatened.

It's their demise. And they know it.

Nostr judgment.

I think he feared the idea of people seperating his ideas from his identity.

I see this with engineers.

They want to make something to improve the world but then they patent it to restrict the free market from benefitting without the engineers lable of approval being stamped upon it.

The philosopher's paranoia is even worse because worthwhile ideas are valuable to the recipient merely by having thunk a thought.

If a thought could be claimed handwriting rightly endears it to the originator much like the signature inscribed on the back of the typewriter.

The typewriter could not mark itself.

And a typed out signature would prove useless as proof of ownership.

Both have their place.

Just to be clear. I do not endorse politicians. I do not see the world healing through them.

I am just trying to stack a few sats.

Small compromise, don't tell my wife.

I woke up with this thought.

No one is bigger/better than their incentives.

If your incentives lie in perpetuating the fiat ponzi you are small and worthless.

Bitcoin is too big to fail.

Fiat is too small to matter.

Take all the cigs you stocked up and give them away or burn them in a bonfire.

Then you will triumph.

If you have friends who smoke.

Take a two year hiatus from them.

Don't drink alcohol for two years.

If your spouse is a smoker and does not share your commitment, then your odds are bad.
