I love python and coding, but only as a hobby. Coding for someone else feels souless. It's a lot of brain power and you don't get paid much in comparison.

But I do love the idea of being able to create whatever you can imagine. Something magical about that to me.

Beyond the philosophical debates of V30, doesn't this increased size in op_return default create a surfase area for denial of service?

Part of the network resilience is the cost to attack the network, but from chatgpt, it looks like it would only cost 10k a day for someone to occupy all of the block space available.

If that's true, then v30 opens us up to a world where $10k a day can prevent anyone from transacting on layer 1. Is that math and conclusion correct?

Ramen is just. "Ok"...

I said what I said.

Got me a little choked up. Not gonna lie.

It's also no coincidence that the symbol given to us as a new and everlasting covenant, is used as a gay pride banner.

The earth had grown so corrupt and filthy that he cleansed it. And it pained him so much that he gave us the rainbow as a mark of his covenant. A promise that he would never again cleanse the whole face of the earth.

Now the gay and transgender community has taken that holy symbol and defiled while spreading their filthiness across the world, knowing that he is bound by his covenant. They will never face judgement in this life. They know it and flaunt it.

It's so sad and disgusting.

How? I thought it wasn't an intelligence operation... 🙄

Sooo, no lambos this year?

I don't understand the logic behind people that think in absolutes. The ability to do so now takes expertise. Even safes are cracked with expertise, and are not 100% effective against a motivated party.

That point is completely irrelevant when asking if something should be allowed by protocol as a standard.

I can see we're going to go around and around here.

The point of those arguments is to say, the benefit of a thing is not dependent on the results being absolute.

As for the government and laws surrounding pornography, they didn't ban it. They put age requirements in place and as a distributor of pornography, they're required to distribute responsibly. This is no different than the age requirements around drinking or smoking. The distributor is required to do so responsibily.

If you're unwilling to card, then you receive a fine. Every gas station knows this. No one complains about liberty because their kids aren't allowed in the bar or aren't allowed to buy cigarettes.

Minors are not allowed in strip clubs and they aren't allowed to buy nude mags. The legislature is saying, "hey online porn industry, clean it up. You need to start distributing your stuff responsibly like every other distributor of pornography or you will be fined".

Pornhub decided that it's too big of a burden to do so. So they pulled out of the state. Good riddance. 🤷‍♂️

Does it stop those who are hellbent on watching porn? No. It doesn't, so what are you crying about?

Why have police? People still commitl crime.

Why brush your teeth? People still get cavities.

Why wipe your ass? Your just going to shit later.

Why drink clean water? It doesn't stop diarrhea...

I mean that logic can be applied to most things and it never makes sense.

Maybe it bothers you because you like porn. 🤷‍♂️

Deterrents aren't meant to stop ALL activities any more than locks are meant to stop all break-ins. No one advocates removing locks...

Deterrent != Absolute

I'm not sure why that's a hard concept for you.

Believe it or not, some people prefer not to live in a world of filth. It's the same reason why there are laws against other vices. Gambling, drugs, alcohol...

It's not about stopping things 100%. It's a deterrent and a completely non-controversial thing.

You can circumvent the system and watch filth in your own house. No one is kicking down doors to prevent you from running one out. But the people of their own state voted to deter the free flow of pornography as a standard. Porn hub pulled out of the state. The deterrent worked.

Maybe you don't understand the word deterrent.

Should I not spray for bugs because I won't get all of the ants? Grow up.

Why does everyone think this way, as if deterrents don't work?

It's why we have age requirements for drinking, driving, smoking, etc.

No one expects it to end all activity. It just sets the baseline standard. Most people follow the defaults...

So is v30 really just about laying the ground work for covenants?

You mean the commander in chief?

Yes. You are required by law to follow every lawful order.

It's an experiment worth taking.
