This is for the new Communities feature. Every person can create public and private groups. The post is just asking for tools to do that.
We really need a Community Manager Nostr client. There is so much work for moderators to do. Curating is hard.

I have a new version coming up that is fixing a couple of crashes. I don't know if it will fix yours, but we can try.
As long as you offer automated payment requests, similar to NIP-42 AUTH, but with an invoice, it could work really well. People are happy to pay for relays. We just need to make it easy.

I am not sure how far we can go there. I initially thought the management of a community, including the approval of posts, should be made by a Community Manager app. Amethyst might not have the screen space for all the details needed to manage a community.

It updates by itself but FDroid is slow. It takes 1-2 days to update.
It means you are following this person. It helps to not be filled by impersonatiors that my use an account with same picture and name as your friend
