Layout aside, I think it needs a more "fun" color scheme. All-black isn't very inviting. 🤔

SF likes shooting itself in the foot. Through covid we had that safe use center that at least kept people from doing shit on the streets. They got rid of it and now we have to constantly step over poop and needles. 🫠

Being masculine is one thing, but parading around about masculine shit is dumb.

Yes, you're male, so is half of the world, congrats. You're no special snowflake. It's like basing your personality around liking to eat food. 😂

The second point sounds bad on its face, but I can see why it would look like a "black box" if creators on their platform use a custodial wallet on wavlake. There's no "split" to be made if it's all just one node.

Today, I was trying to explain to my mother/ she is 80 /why I believe cyberspace communities built on decentralized protocols like Nostr are the future of human interaction and freedom of expression. Unlike centralized social media, Nostr's peer-to-peer structure allows users to freely discuss topics that are hard to find in the physical world.

I told my mother that while in-person interaction remains valuable, the challenges of finding like-minded individuals can make online, protocol-based communities an appealing alternative. The decentralized nature of Nostr makes it resistant to censorship, as there is no single point of control. Additionally, Nostr accounts are tied to public-private key cryptography, giving users more control over their data and identity.

This decentralized approach, combined with Nostr's developer-friendly design, aligns perfectly with my vision for the future of online interaction and expression. I believe cyberspace communities gathered around decentralized protocols have the best chance of fighting for true freedom, both economically and culturally.

However, my mother found it really hard to believe that I truly look for friends, collaborators, and people to discuss current events and the future on Nostr. I don't think she's an exception - a lot of people don't treat online communities seriously. This is likely due to the permanent damage caused by the centralization and misuse of traditional social media platforms.

It's always been this way, though. I have friends that I met online in the early days of IRC and forums, long before social media, and it was just as weird. Honestly, I'd say it's *less* weird these days, but still quite unusual. 🤔

I thought the update didn't come out until the 25th? That's what all the news sites online say 😮

Jesus. Why do they never do shit we want them to do, and gotta jump on their dicks every time they do shit we don't want them to do?

Same thing with microphones in your home. It used to be a conspiracy theory that the guvment put microphones into TVs. Now people willingly fill their home with them.

Liquid is amazing for rebalancing lightning channels cheaply. Look into peerswap and run it.
