I don’t understand people who are changing their phones every year. Feels like just a waste of money.

But my business plan says I can and it doesn’t cost me any more.

Idk I guess the innovation of new cool phones has died and it doesn’t make sense to upgrade just because the camera is two megapixels better than in previous model🤷‍♂️

Every 2nd year is better though.

I always buy one from two models behind.

I buy one until it’s die

This. I'm on my 2nd phone since 2013.

The time has passed when the improvements were drastic

Basically two monopolists are controlling the market ! Sad

The hardware hackers of old would be dismayed

Been running a Pixel 4a with Calyx or a few years now. Best setup I've ever used and hoping this phone lasts many more years.

I still want to see someone will come up with a privacy focused phone and we start decoupling from the apple and Samsung spy shit

Abso-fucking-lutely.

Some food for thought on the 4a from the GOS folks. If you strictly follow their advice you might buy a new phone every...5-7 years.

My iPhone XR is still going. I don’t even remember when I bought this thing.

I had X but last year my wife upgraded me on birthday 😅

I prob need a new one soon. It freezes on me sometimes and I don’t think the camera flash works anymore.

And probably battery life is dead 😁

Haha yeah it’s not too good. I could just get a new battery though. We’ll see. Depends if bitcoin pumps or dumps. 😂

Don’t you love the irony of a business that preaches sustainability while also pushing annual phone upgrades?

Ahh that’s where you bring them your the phone you bought last year for $1.4k and still pay $500 difference ? 😂

Still on iPhone 12. Tech improvements are barely noticeable and logging into apps again is a pain in the ass.

Is about their insecure ego. They need the latest and the best.

its all good when you can afford it or trade in old phone so you dont pay full price for that small upgrade

Gotta keep those landfills full.
