Fresh from the henhouse.
Looks like her break is over and she started laying again. Yay! I’m not going to be so hungry for a while!!!
Challenge Accepted.., now as the great Larry the Cucumber one said… “oh where is my hairbrush”…
I won’t pick it up, because I’d be even more of a frizzy haired elf in the morning…
That’s after re-reading the wheel of time series till 2AM…
Oops, thought I posted the reply here. But put it on my main feed.

Main Garden.
- Pumpkins & Squash, Potatoes. Beans & Peas. (Other side of corn row)
- Way, too many weeds. (Which reminds me, I’m going to need to get rid of the Canadian Thistles before they go to seed… grrr)
& it all needs water again *sigh*

I’ve now seen his npub appear, and blocked it.
Quick Serious Question. Not a dig on something you like and enjoy, just curious.
Who actually decides what is “fashionable”, because in my opinion practicalities always outweigh looks.
There’s no “revenue problem” there’s a spending problem.
That’s like saying, you don’t mind the police & government regularly sniffing through your underwear drawer. Just because you’ve got nothing to hide, doesn’t make it ok.
It’s not about what you’ve got that they can steal. It’s about building a profile on who you are, and monitoring that for the purpose of targeted marketing / influence. If perhaps the TikTok algorithm gets tweaked to show you certain content more often at the exclusion of alternative viewpoints, because a profile was built on your interests and activities online. Your behaviour can be shaped by the messaging you hear.
The question you may ask is, why would they care about you? Well, most likely they don’t. But, they do care about the macro view of the hundreds and thousands of users who do regularly use the app that are outside their jurisdiction, that vote for and set policy positions that directly affects trade with their government, the users can be subtly influenced, having their attitudes adjusted towards more favourable policy positions for them.
For example, consider two candidates in an election. One candidate proposes extremely strict tariffs on say foreign vehicles that are imported. These tariffs would mean the foreign government couldn’t dump at cost vehicles in the market and funnel millions out of the country. Now say millions of social media users get shown videos and messages that are pro the non tariff candidate, and anti the other. Their opinions get shifted, and they vote and the alternative gets elected and the tariffs get lifted. Just as an example.
Just a viewpoint to consider and think about.
Well. I planted 400 hills of potatoes this spring, and about 85% are growing beautifully. In about a month I need to DIG about a pickup box of spuds… that’s going to be a workout..
Hopefully the corn actually produces.
Got a bunch of Roma tomatoes producing so, will need to be making sauce and canning it.
Beans will need to be canned..
Peas keep getting picked and shelled & frozen.
I’ve got a pumpkin and some squash that’ll need to be dealt with.
By then my rhubarb will need to be picked again.
Not to mention multiple other herbs n veggies in containers that are just small amounts for seasonings, that’ll all need to be picked, dried and powdered.
I’ve got a busy few months ahead…
Occasionally. Unfortunately not as much as I’d like these last few years on the farm. Since graduation at university I’ve not been involved in band, or choir anymore so they’ve both been a much missed activity.
Bingo.
I refuse to put TikTok on my phone. Every time someone sends me a TikTok video link, I cringe - and refuse to watch it out of principle.
& Where can I get one… fireworks are available everywhere, it’s the holding apparatus that’s hard to come by…
Primarily using Nostur on iOS *shrugs* just feels right to me…
What if the whole “intent” behind this whole thing is to drive people away from using telegram, and trusting it as a platform?
Undermine public trust…
What if they can’t read messages on there.
So they undermine people trust in it, driving them towards platforms they can monitor…
That’s just a conspiracy theory tho… however if you think about it, doesn’t it make sense?
It was GOOD!
I went down at midnight took the leftovers and tossed them into a frying pan, added a dab of butter and sliced up a hotdog. Topped it off with ketchup on my bowl, boom late night snack!.
Good idea… heading to do that now. Wait, how do I actually do that…
