Not because of the 69m, but because satoshi will never give his coins to a custodian and he owns more than 5% (if we guesstimate the ~1.1m patoshi-number).
And he's not alone in never given them to someone else.

I just keep them where they are (in my self-custodial-butt oc).

Funny, just the other day I did something similar and checked what old mails I could find.
Guess I trashed the MtGox account-creation mail, but I found the verification mail.
But MtGox wasn't my first BTC-exchange, that was BitMarket.eu about 1 year earlier.

It's not the fastest machine in the world (i3-6006U, 8GB, SATA SSD), but that's what I had and didn't use for anything else.

To get an idea of the fees to go from LN to BTC and back you could check some swap-services, like swap.deezy.io or boltz.exchange.
If you run your own BTC- and LN-Node it's basically just another on-chain tx to go either in or out of lightning-channels,
so all that matters is the current mempool and sats/vB situation.
Depends a lot on the amount you wanna to buy.
Small amount->LN
Big amount->on-chain
LN
It's ok to send amounts as tiny as 1sat via lightning, the bigger the amount the worse LN works, at least in my experience.
I've never had a problem sending 1, 21, 420, 210k, 1m sats, sending a couple of million though I often had to try a few times til it worked.
But that's expected, on every hop there needs to be enough channel liquidity to route the payment through.
on-chain
It's ok to pay a $5 fee for a $5000 on-chain tx, 0.1% is not that bad,
but if you just want to send/receive $5, that would be a 100% fee you probably don't want to pay.
It also depends on what you wanna do with it, like, do you wanna use it to zap nostriches, or buy/pay for stuff?
Or does it go straight to cold storage for the next decade?

I used an old laptop (with a broken keyboard) to setup #Start9 after watching one of your other videos about it a few weeks ago.
Been running btc-nodes for more than a decade, but never looked into lightning until then.
Now my node routed about 50million sats already and I'm waiting for the mempool to clear up so I can open moar channels.
Oh and I found out about Nostr thru #Start9 (there's a relay and client in its marketplace) which piqued my interest.
