Nah, here it's a Firefox issue, only. Can't author events. On Chromium it works.
#[2] please provide a feature to one-click block authors of such begging notes. It's just too cheap to automate them to burden users with more than one click to zap them permanently.
So issues I've been experiencing this morning might be due to my new AirBnB blocking ports?
Context?

Nostrgram is currently the best-performing client I know but it's closed source (at least I saw no claims to the contrary) and all events run through their servers instead of being served directly from the respective relays I think. This would improve performance as the client would not have to download redundant events many times over.
For some, this is worrysome but notifications like the above at least sound reassuring that all this is done with the nostr-ethos in mind:
Nobody depends on nostrgram or its servers. If they kick me today, nothing is lost.
If I understand the notification right, I can download all the events that would get witheld from others if they ever decided to ban me and people that disagree with them banning me, could always find me via relays that I can send my events to easily with this and other clients.
I am not worried. Nostr's future is bright. 🤙

Who is John Galt?
nostrgram has a feature "Follow Suggestions" listing all accounts followed by at least 10 of my follows and it's very tempting to click follow on all that I recognize/like but how likely is it that my follows did not fall for imposters?
#[0] please add a feature to help spot imposters and to tell my follows about my findings.

Are these the real deal? Do really so few others follow them? I don't want to follow without verification "nostrverifiied" doesn't help much ;)
To handle a million followers, the solution is not to have them sharded into relays that you all write to, with followers only reading from their assigned shard.
If you write to just one relay, they should still all get the events. We need to figure out to charge for reading from relays, not only for writing to them, which all the paid relays are about so far.
Once the marginal cost of each extra user turns into a marginal profit, people will figure out how to serve a million users with "one" relay. #[2]
Trying out https://nostrgram.co
The "use pubkey from extension" is a bit hidden but it looks refreshingly different and feels fast so far. 👍
Friendly reminder that https://localbitcoins.com is closing shop. Withdrawing is easy but do it now and don't wait to the last day.
Where are you trading now? Paxful? Bisq? Any of these {foodName}Swap? ...

Can't send from Chile though. I'd actually love to efficiently send from Chile to Philippines but going through localbitcoins currently is worse than paying the person to a friend's bank account so they can get paid in cash to carry it to a remittance office to have a relative pick it up over there.
The problem is resolved now.
#[0] why do I see this and other posts in my "follows" feed even though I don't follow the authors?
Ok. There is more and more clients entering the race and others that gave up and I see no clear winner yet. Snort is nice and kind of fast but "far superior"? In this very screen I'm looking at several flaws or short comings compared to Astral.
Also: Yes, it's "smooth" to show first results but then keeps adding stuff and shifting the layout all the time.
In my notifications, what is this supposed to be:

It's really confusing as kiwilamb, DerekRoss is grouped with my avatar as if it was also my name or something but your name is above, so did you re-post it? What's this? So there is clearly what is my note but I can't reply to it?
I like the integrated file upload though.
That's one way to get followers ;)
Liar! If you were a slow dev, I wouldn't have given up on competing with you ;)
