Struggling to onboard an artist from Chile, my current biggest hurdle is that I can't find him.
Searching for users called "Roberto Jaras" in Snort doesn't yield his account even though he created his profile in Snort and we opened it with nos2x-fox in Coracle, Iris and even set up his Damus and could load the profile correctly in all those clients.
He follows me, yet I can't find him among my follows neither in none of the clients.
That should be way easier.

6 months away from your daughter? :( I can't imagine ...
Relays must start charging for the favor.
Snort
Astral
Coracle
in this order and as always something doesn't work, I do use all three all the time.
And I love your replies have no clear winner.
If in some fringe country you had to sell your hammer with a booklet of things the buyer may not smack with this tool, would you add that list when selling your hammer in other countries?
Then why not remove that terms of use from the F-Droid version? I'm with F-Droid on that one. You can't tell the recipient what to do with his open source product. Terms of use do not apply to FOSS.
Any plans to get hospitalized for a month?
According to https://superuser.com/questions/441608/my-keyboard-is-typing-by-itself-could-there-be-a-ghost-in-it I might have a faulty keyboard although their ghost key strokes look much more random than mine. But ... unplugging the keyboard and plugging back in did resolve the issue.
But ... WTH? Why would a keyboard store "TIL. Years." and print it out ... slowly ... whenever triggered a certain way? Why would there be a concept of pausing output for seconds?
WTH just happened??? I let my toddler smack my keyboard and now whenever typing a yet to be understood collection of keys, I trigger some sort of typing script that slowly types out things like
TIL. Years.
... over the course of ten seconds.
The strings it types are defined by the respective hotkey and the script competes with me typing other stuff. I don't directly recognize any of the strings but my toddler didn't come up with those neither.
How did that happen and how can I switch it off?
I wish people using coinjoin would at least understand that sending the xpub to the coordinator was a bad idea. Sadly there is even well known influencers praising Samourai.
I think those in power to ban cars (or criminals) are taking their cut and won't change a thing any time soon.
Yeah, when with the family, that's not an option. Most Uber here have no adequate seating for my toddler and we are often 5 in the car. Also it frustrates me to just have to give up to these bullies.
It also has me conflicted because a guy with a credentials card, charging the same amount, paying the government a "fair cut", who will *not* scratch my car if I don't pay but will have me thrown in jail if I don't pay later isn't so much different neither.
So ... how do you deal with criminals that scratch your car if you don't pay $8 for a parking spot or more if you have a fancy car?
The police knows this is happening and blame judges for not giving these criminals more than a night in jail ever.
Central government knows this is going on and sends police from afar to "help" occasionally but that's isolated operations not making a dent in this specific crime which is common across Chile wherever there is high parking-turnover.
The municipality concessions the street side parking business but in the most interesting streets, nobody wants to take it as they get intimidated, too.
I assume the car scratching is just the tip of the iceberg and businesses in party districts are paying whole different sums to appease the mafia but it's pretty clearly organized crime.
Now nobody ever scratched my car even though I don't pay and my theory is that they only scratch enough cars to make the threat plausible and they openly yell their conditions at you and smack the car - demonstrating little restraint but that's still very taxing when going out with the family.
So while "free" parking where parking obviously has a high value is the problem here, driving a market for a very unpredictable kind of business, I'm struggling to see how to fix this without arming a stronger mafia that's hopefully more predictable.

Started reading The Mandibles and I can see why it's nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx's favorite book. This is practically doom porn for Bitcoiners.
nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx doesn't work well in snort without a whitespace after.
As a mathematician, this reminded me more of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simplex_algorithm
This is "security cam" footage and one of the reasons I hate these cams.
One day, a "security cam install guy" showed me footage of his hot neighbor and of his hated other neighbor carrying his dead pet around, searching for whoever poisoned it. All footage he got thanks to being the one who installed the cams.
Having a cold sucks!
Catching up on all the remotely entertaining Netflix stuff. How is it that all the interesting titles I haven't seen yet turn out to have a 3/10 star rating on IMDB?
Anyway, "The Worst Person in the World" was good and probably not on Netflix.
