The Guru's Grace (spiritual teacher) is both external and internal. From the outside, he pushes the mind inwards, and from the inside he pulls the mind towards the Self and helps it keep quiet. That is the grace. There is no difference between God, guru and Self. A guru's help is necessary and useful to start you on the inquiry, but you yourself must pursue it.

All those who are devoted to Me are indeed noble. But those in self-knowledge, who are of steadfast mind, whose intellect is merged in Me, and who have made Me alone as their supreme goal,

I consider as My very self.

The confused and ignorant people are found to be continually involved in practices of mental concentration or in efforts to control the mind. The wise ones, on the other hand, like persons in deep sleep, do not see any necessity of doing anything.

How to make vows by reciting the Great Compassion Mantra?

Taiping Temple

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is wonderful and difficult to reward, and her purity and splendor have been cultivated for many kalpas.

Thirty-two should pervade the earthly realm and transform into Jambudvipa for hundreds of thousands of kalpas.

The nectar in the bottle is always sprinkled, and the poplar branches in my hands don't care about autumn.

Prayers are answered in thousands of places, and the sea of suffering is always a boat to save people.

"Praise to Guanyin"

How to make vows by reciting the Great Compassion Mantra?

If there are any monks, nuns, upasakas, upasikas, boys, or girls who wish to recite and uphold this recitation and have compassion for all sentient beings, they should first make this vow from me:

If there are four disciples, as well as boys and girls, who wish to recite and uphold the Great Compassion Mantra, they should have compassion for all living beings and first follow Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and make this vow:

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I know all dharma quickly.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I gain the eye of wisdom soon.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I speed up all the people.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I get good convenience soon.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I take the Prajna boat quickly.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! I wish I could get over the sea of misery soon.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I quickly attain the precepts and attain the path of enlightenment.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I reach Nirvana Mountain as soon as possible.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! I hope I will soon meet Wuweiji.

There is no Great Compassion Guanyin! May I be the same as the dharma-nature body soon.

If I go towards the mountain of swords, the mountain of swords will destroy itself.

If I turn to the fire soup, the fire soup will dry up.

If I go to hell, hell will destroy itself.

If I go to a hungry ghost, the hungry ghost will be satisfied.

If I turn to Shura, my nausea will subdue myself.

If I turn to animals, I will gain great wisdom.

When we make such a vow every day, we should have a general understanding of its meaning and should not make it in a confused way.

Namo means taking refuge. Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva means taking refuge in Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. I hope that with the Bodhisattva’s mercy and blessings, I can quickly understand all the Dharma and gain wisdom as soon as possible.

The five eyes include the physical eye, the heavenly eye, the Dharma eye, the wisdom eye and the Buddha's eye.

I understand all the Dharma and have insight. What do I hope to do? I hope that I can quickly enlighten all sentient beings so that they can escape suffering and achieve happiness as soon as possible.

In order to save all sentient beings, one must have corresponding abilities and skillful means, so that one can observe opportunities, teach, and teach according to people.

I want to ride on the big ship of Prajnaparamita and cross the sea of suffering of life and death;

I want to obtain the path of discipline, concentration, and wisdom, and be able to climb Mount Nirvana as soon as possible;

I want to reach the state of inaction as soon as possible, and I want to attain the Dharmakaya as soon as possible.

If I face the mountain of swords, the mountain of swords will destroy itself; if I face the soup of fire, the soup of fire will dry up on its own.

If I face hell, hell will disappear by itself; if I face hungry ghosts, hungry ghosts will be satisfied;

If I face the hot-tempered Shura, their disgust will be subdued; if I face the beasts, these foolish beasts will gain great wisdom.

These wishes made by Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva are also consistent with the four great vows we often talk about: boundless sentient beings vowed to save, endless troubles vowed to end, countless Dharma doors vowed to learn, and the supreme Buddhist path vowed to be achieved.

"The cycle of births and deaths does not end unless ignorance is put an end to. This can happen only with a perfect knowledge of the Self, not otherwise."

"Such wisdom as can destroy ignorance is clearly of two sorts: indirect and direct.

Knowledge is first acquired from a Master and through him from the scriptures.

Such indirect knowledge cannot fulfil the object in view. Because theoretical knowledge alone does not bear fruit; practical knowledge is necessary which comes through Samadhi alone.

Knowledge born of Nirvikalpa Samadhi generates wisdom by the eradication of ignorance and objective knowledge."

WHAT IS EGO ?

A young man asked a monk, ‘What is ego?’

The monk in turn asked him, ‘Who are you?’

‘Well,’ replied the young man, giving his name, ‘Mohan.’

‘I am not asking your name; I want to know who are you?’ countered the monk.

‘I am a student’, said the young man.

‘But that is your present station or “profession” in life; my question is—who are you?’

The young man thought for a while and then said, ‘I am the son of so-and-so.’

‘That is your relation with your parents,’ smiled the monk.

‘I am a Bengali’, said the young man.

‘That is your mother-tongue’

‘I am a Hindu and an Indian.’

‘That is your religion and your nationality.’

‘I am a human being,’ the young man reached his wit’s end.

‘Now, you are referring to the species— the Homo sapiens. Who are you?’

The young man had nothing more to say. ‘Well, that is what Vedanta teaches,’ continued the monk,

The Vedanta says that man’s deepest core or substance within, is unconditioned by any description and that unconditioned substance is called Atman or Self.

The Atman is what a man is.

Ego is what he appears to be.

Atman is true, ego is false.

Atman is never born nor dies;

ego comes into being through ignorance and dies when knowledge dawns in a person.

He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye.

Why do yo do japa?

Why are you repeating the same thing again and again?

With japa, that mind which normally wanders into the external world with the help of agents called the senses, becomes one-pointed and then inward.

But if one remains limited to only japa, then really one remains crazy. To expand your consciousness you have to learn to meditate and it's an art.

NAMASTE!

"There is a powerful exercise that is quite simple and I began to use many years ago.

Whoever I've met along the way, either personally or one insect, the first thought that assume in terms of this being:

"I wish you happiness!"

But the most important thing is that this idea really should be first

"I wish you happiness."

"This idea will completely change what happened between you and this man.

I say this proceeding from personal experience.

Sometimes it is very difficult when you encounter the enemy, when you find yourself face to face with an unexpected difficult and serious situation...

And I very helpful meditations that teach not to let negative e motions prevail.

You get the opportunity to create space around you...

You see how this negative emotion emerged, until that takes precedence over you and you manage to transform..

You see things as they are: it is manifested by ignorance.. anger - but it is not only the other as ignorance on my part and on his part.

Convert ego, relax, turn into love.

"I wish you happiness!"

Try it and see how much it would change everything in your life."
