Duck's just this guy, you know?

you can do any of the normal reactions to a dm note and clients will see it the same.

Me: I suffer from carpal tunnel that requires I get injections in my wrists every 6-8 months.

Also Me: I'm in my 40's now. Perhaps it's finally time to buy a guitar and try to learn that.

To whoever does nosta.me, if you put a nip05 into the address, and that identifier specifies a relay that no longer exists, the lookup will refuse to fall back to any other relays and will return an error.

On a related note: I've fixed the invalid relay in the identifier for _@duck1123.com

is there a relay software that will look for content moderation notices from its whitelisted members and auto-evict any events from those pubkeys?

I could see some people that would really enjoy that sort of thing.

#asknostr

Hating on nostr because some people are nazis and their posts are allowed to exist is like swearing off HTTP because nazis have websites.

Your nostr experience really starts to fill out once you add more people to your list.

When you run out of new content, then it's time to start hitting global and adding anyone that posts something interesting to you.

Go to zapddit.com and set up a bunch of keyword searches for things you're interested in and add people from there as well.

Love the composition with the mirror in the background.

This would also give plausible deniability to those that want to buy a check but don't want to be seen buying a check.

"it was gifted to me. I swear.

Getting paid in Bitcoin doesn't really help this because you are still at the mercy of whatever the rate is at the time. If you move that point up, this can still happen just that much sooner.

It's like giving Elon as 21-sat zap over 1700 times each month.

For me, it's resisting the thought "wouldn't your chin be so much cooler if you didn't have all this hair hanging off it? Don't you want to feel the breeze on your cheeks again?"

The thing is, if some relay is trying to stop you from saying what you want to say, you can always look to a different relay until one will let you say it, but once it's said, there's no telling how many other relays have received a copy of that message.

You can say you want a note deleted, but unlike Twitter where they have a single copy of that record (duplicated across all of their databases) and can definitely that they've "deleted" the master copy of that note, in nostr, each copy on every relay is the master copy of the note with all the bits required to prove that you wrote it and it hasn't been modified. Those relays are under no obligation to process your delete request but even if they did, there's no way to know that someone didn't copy the json to notepad or something. That notepad copy is still a legitimate version of that message. Way better than a screenshot.

This is why clients try to set the expectation that they will try their best to make sure it's deleted, but once somethings out on the internet, it's hard to make it disappear for good.
