i will say abt bluechecks is like. i know many people who bought one as a desperate attempt to counteract censorship (shadowbanning) so i dont hate everyone who did. but most people just did it so they could bring elon to completion and thats asssssssssss

It's essentially a mixture of cryptography and game theory, that allows you to transact off-chain without fully trusting the people you're transacting with.
Almost like how escrow works, but without actually having to trust an escrow service.
