Telegram is useful for the API and bots. I use woofbot for notifications from my node.
Twitter is so toxic. Easiest way to ruin a day in my opinion is to spend time engaging with that algorithm.

Nostr is already good enough to replace Twitter, but not good enough to replace Telegram.
For what use case? Messaging? If so. then Signal and SimpleX exist. Also iirc TG has opt-in privacy for messaging, so...

Please do share your experience when you do. I am extremely intrigued, but I just finished bullying my social bubble into using Signal and cannot make them switch to SimpleX.
I'm in a similar situation. Three years ago, I deleted WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram, so all my family and friends were forced to use Telegram or Signal to contact me. At one point, I made the mistake of suggesting the XX Messenger App from David Chaum to a few friends. It turns out it was just a plot to introduce yet another unregistered security shitcoin. Now, I'm hesitant to ask family and friends to download a new messaging app.
I love Telegram's UX/UI but wish it was using Signal backend or Simplex maybe. E2E encryption would be nice

Just do it. Twatter is un-usable at this point - and not only since the twat in chief Musk is in charge.
But why Telegram though? Much better than Signal (which I also use) with all the groups and support channels for all kind of stuff, not to mention the extensive features...
