Duck's just this guy, you know?

I'm glad that I was there to witness the live broadcast of the Undertaker throwing Mankind off the cage for Hell in a Cell.

I feel like they named Black Metal before they heard all the options.

I had things that I needed to buy that I ended up buying on Amazon, but I had to remind myself that this wasn't free money, this was money that was supposed to be in my bank account but I had to try to be clever and rack up some Fold points.

just be careful because the gift cards don't work for the amazon payments to external companies

sincerely, the guy that was stuck with $400+ in Amazon credit because it didn't pull from my gift card balance like I wanted it to.

I'm so thankful that I can finally listen to the music from my youth without needing to re-live all the emotions put into those songs at the time.

I'd be pissed if I lost access to some damn good songs just because teenage me once spent a time listening to that song over and over again while crying.

Have you ever considered the possibility that maybe you're just psychic and it was your subconscious intuition that manifested knowledge of an upcoming ad you would be shown within the next few days as a suggestion to mention that thing out-loud to someone in conversation within listening range of a smartphone?

This Taco Bell is unironically bumping "Friday"

I really appreciate him diving in and fully exploring all the reasons.

When you only hear about a really great product from the announcement that they're shutting down.

"Oops, were sorry but the link you clicked for a Java developer role has now expired but we found this near-by opening for a chef that we think you might be interested in."

When you get an email thanking you for "engaging with our community" and you have to Google the name to figure out what community this is anyway.

Yesterday, after talking about it for years, I got helped some of my friends not only purchase some bitcoin but to take custody of it themselves using an airgapped wallet.

So if you wonder why the price is going down...

mempool.space is such a great resource when trying to explain to people how bitcoin works. So many of the concepts just laid out in a visually appealing manner.

I have purchased 0.5376% of my Epic Game Store library.

The Friday the Thirteenth series is diametrically opposed to the phrase "Only the good die young"

Having a reaction streamer app that updates their zap splits for the stream to point to the original creators of whatever is currently being viewed would be a good way to deal with the criticism that reaction streamers steal content.

There are a few things that don't quite work as well and I have to fall back to the system packages and I'm not using flakes yet, but it's been pretty good for my needs. I was able to replace a bunch of the custom scripts I had for setting up my dotfiles with home-manager config.

direnv's use_nix is nice when you have projects that have particular requirements that you don't want installed globally to your system.

A few nibbles here and there, but no real bites yet. Looking for full stack dev in either clojure(script) or java/javascript.

TIL that if you have an app that's installed via Nix, but then you also have a devshell that gets loaded via direnv and you update your nix channels and process all your updates, the shell will maintain references to the older version until you start a new session. (re-entering the directory probably would have done it)

GM. The tool that's designed to run exactly the same locally as it does in the CI environment is failing in CI but not locally.
