the Swedish guest is absolutely exhausted. i let him use my computer to find a movie to stream but he fell asleep.

he needed rest but ignored the signals his body was giving him.

hanging out with him down town offers new experiences, but he's not doing it out of a place of confidence.

he seems to have been through this:

- adversity

- depression

- indifference

basically reaching a point where he has shut out his feelings because they were useless to him anyway.
