Tbh I really enjoy being a pain in the ass when people send me links from mainstream social media that I can't open. "Sorry, can't see that Instagram post, it requires an account." "Sorry, can't see that Reddit post, it says I need to download the app." When was the last time you had to log in to read a Mastodon post? I feel like it over time it will help them realize how shit these platforms are. Or they'll stop sending me links. Either works.
