Thank you, I managed to solve it mostly. I have some firewall issues left, but is very specific to my setup.
Network setup is hard. Trying to integrate tailscale and there are some issues. Hours...
Is it already known where the next nostr conference will be? Any chance there will be a nostrica again?
same, i guess that's our job 🫡
Not only government...
Reworking my network reminded me again of how many connected devices we have. Keeping privacy and security up is becoming a tedious task.
Finally managed to upgrade my internet connection. My nodes are now better connected than ever.
there is no librewolf nix package for aarch64-apple-darwin 😞
GM nostr ☕️ time
I switch between apps depending on the context. Most apps have some aspects that make it perfectly fitting for a specific task, but get in your way in others. Another reason is compartmentalization: one browser per work project, one for research, and one for the rest. This keeps everything neatly separated. With this strategy I get the most out of my affliction, I can tinker when a new challenge appears and I don't know how the handle it the best way yet, but for known tasks I have a system that already works.
I've installed nfty so uptime kuma can alert me in case something fails. As I have it running anyways now, it shouldn't really hurt if I also use it for Amethyst, right?
moved from homebrew to nix, with home-manager handling my dotfiles. keeping my mac and linux notebooks in sync just got a lot easier.
damn, time to buy another notebook to play with this
I've learned that with syncthing, untrusted devices do not only transmit E2E encrypted, but also store the data encrypted. So the only problem that remains is how to handle multiple users. Any suggestions? #asknostr
Does anyone know an app like syncthing, but with multiple user support. Even better with E2E encryption. I don't want to set up a nextcloud instance as I only need file sync.
Setting up another btcpay server. Doing my part restlessly.
The Pixel a-models are quite good actually and have a good price point. I bough this 6a as soon as the first promotion came out, so well over a year. I wouldn't consider that as breaking in a month, just the battery shouldn't be a thing I have to think about at that age. The thing is, I don't know if this is a widespread issue or only affecting me. I'll swap the battery probably sooner than later and good to go for longer. Definitely not a reason to buy a new device.
What do you mean by these products don’t work? I’m probably missing something there…
The battery of the pixel 6a went from good to really bad. Far faster than on the 4a or an aged iPhone.
Using antennapod. I haven't found anything in the nostr space.
