i missed to post this when i discovered it, but maybe interesting: lockdown mode on macos x breaks the 1password safari plugin. it still works on all other browsers tho. and if i understand it correctly, this will not be fixed. reminds me of the signal attitude.
as soon as i get it back, i'll install asahi linux. time to accelerate.

a while back, i decided to leave the apple ecosystem. not at once, but slowly as the devices become unusable. well, seems like apple wants to speed up the process as my barely 2y old mbp just died. new durability low bar.

i really like my framework, but getting the battery drainage under control is a never ending quest. my best experience for now on fedora silverblue is with powertop and tuned. and by removing the unused expansion cards. who would have guessed that.
Japan is awesome. Very happy to be here again. Would have been even nicer if nostrasia would happen now π Nevertheless, without knowing Japanese it's sometimes hard. Falling back to evil Google translate/lens quite often as soon we leave tourist zones.
