How many acres do you have? And how can you survive in a tent over there?? Are you going to build a structure? If your ever in Houston, feel free to have some free elderberry plants, sorghum, cucumber, melon seeds, azolla, etc. I have too much :)
The India water projects were amazing. Basically dig a lot of pits to capture water. Increase level of groundwater over time. Good luck!

Drain tank - I put it into a recycle bin with a pond pump.
Fill base with 2-3” of potting soil, fertilizer mix.
Add water, make it a concrete slurry ratio.
Add 3” of sand which will cap the soil underneath.
Slowly add water without disturbing the sand layer.
Profit! It took me about 1.5 hours to do everything.
