I notice it, myself. The more followers I have, and the more often I trend, the harder I have to work to stay pleb.

I made my first #introductions post 1.5 years ago on nostr. I’ve made a few new friends since then, so let me reintroduce myself.

In my past life I was a CPA but was pushed away from the industry during Covid and pulled into bitcoin

My little brother and I run a golf company called KNG Golf. We make custom leather headcovers for individuals, businesses, and events. Each headcover is made by hand right here in a Manitoba 🇨🇦!

We also have other golf apparel including hats (our 110 SnapBacks are the best hat in golf), hoodies, zips, and our brand new polos. Our polos are high quality material made for slimmer guys.

And I do a live show every morning at 9am EST called the Daily Bitcoin Journey. The live shows started in November ‘23 and somehow we keep finding things to talk about.

The community is growing by the day (we had over 1,000 new subscribers in the month of May alone). Big shoutout to everyone who shows up in the live chat and makes the show what it is.

Your feed is dull because you don't follow the g-loaded people who interact heavily in the replies.

This will become more obvious once we get the boards and wiki working well, so that they all slowly disappear off the tweet-feed, and it grinds down to its base-level of vapid simpery.

That's why I follow GMers back. They are interacting, not lurking. They're the people that respond to other notes, as well.

And if you follow them, they often follow you back, and then when you write a note, you get responses.

I don't care about followers, I care about conversations. Most of my notes just fall into the nostr void, unanswered by my 480 "followers"

We just pile into the mega GM notes because that's the main way to get followers, since nobody can find you, otherwise.

My credit score went down when I paid off my car and it went down when I paid off my student loans.

The system punishes you for not owing money. They want you to be in debt constantly, so you don’t start asking questions because you are busy paying interest on your debt.

Developing nostr stuff on a 5G modem connection has been eye opening. Websockets are flakey as fuck and none of the current libraries can handle this.

Yeah, I remember that. People would just disappear from my feed.

It’s ok to admit when you’ve failed.

In fact it more than ok, it’s actually very strong and brave.

Today I failed at being a big loser who doesn’t have any bitcoin.

I’m man enough to admit that.

I just have to sit here a handsome winner with bitcoin in cold storage knowing that I failed…

I think I'm gonna need to do a real caffeine detox at some point. I was sick for ~30 hours in bed for at least 24 of those hours. I had plenty of fluids and Pho, but I had the *worst* headache this morning and the latter half of yesterday. Aspirin did nada, so I was wondering WTF was the problem.

..... It was a lack of caffeine. I popped one of my caffeine / L-Theanine pills and in ~20 to 30 min I felt like a million bucks. Still a bit foggy and weak from being hit by whatever this sickness was, but my head was no longer splitting apart. It's wild to think how deep caffeine has its hooks in me.

What would Viktor Frankl think of today's surveillance state and global autocracy?
