The best thing for it will be diversity of thought and deprioritized discussion on Bitcoin; with alt-tech making continuous fumbles, I want Nostr to grow while also dreading a mass influx of absolute retards that would inevitably congregate with the maximalist retards.
Hard thing to balance out, along with small yet significant issues with Nostr's relay and media hosting design.

As you know, I've been on the fediverse since the kiwifarms.cc (rest in piss) days, with my last account being on Gleasonator (the .com version, not the .dev one); I left it fully for Nostr because Nostr does what the fediverse does better, and once Gleason created the Mostr bridge I didn't have the void made from not having the fedi folk I liked interacting with present anymore.
Not to say that Nostr is perfect (it's not), but it's a hell of a lot better than the fediverse is presently from a federation and interoperability standpoint.

The benefit to being on Nostr is that I will never have the unfortunate blemish of being followed by BadFediPosts on principle... the con is that I'm on Nostr, which a good portion of the fedi hates for the same problems they have.
