I’ll be muting such bots.
Nostr is where you get likes on your post before posting it.
You just need to mention “Bitcoin,” “BTC,” or the “Lightning Network” while composing a draft.
I see “internet” and “web” being used interchangeably, and it’s making me uneasy.
nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m did not even bother because he gets it
I’ve looked into NIP-05 verification for a second.
I don’t see how getting “verified” with something like “itsame (at) botnet (dot) com” helps.
You need a reputable domain for such verification to mean anything.
Proof of humanity is not solved. It’s just proof of authority. Authority is something most people don’t have by definition.
"Passkeys" are a concept that falls somewhere between Google no longer using the motto "don't be evil" and a hardware key.
It's not ideal that people can avoid using dedicated hardware. This slows down the integration of hardware signing with services and floods the market with "virtually secure" secure element chips.
Firmware supporting new shite coins and tokens takes precedence over not leaking your private key.
Your freedom depends on your password-to-key ratio.
"Logging in" is requesting permission.
You want to give permission, not ask for it.
You want to sign things, not "sign in" to them.
People dislike passwords for a reason. They are fundamentally immoral.

It's great that we now own "Twitter," which we should have had in 2006. But this is not a 4K stream nor 4K per eye 3D reality at 120 fps. Data ownership has only just begun.
Streamers will be interested in the ownership that Nostr can provide once its infrastructure can handle modern bandwidth requirements.
Twitch/Amazon is not a great landlord.
I was skeptical about joining another attempt at social media, but having so many bitcoiners in one place is very powerful.
Most people don’t know how good Bitcoin is yet.
Even fewer know how good Bitcoin payments over Lightning are.
We get to use all this revolutionary and battle-tested tech before most people on Earth simply because we are interested in it.
What do people even pay attention to if not the financial revolution?
What bigger market is there than the market of money? It boggles the mind that we are still so early.
