I am not a Democrat. I am a human being. And as a human being with values, I could never vote for Trump.

I have now read what actually happened and remembered how two cars raced past us and I said that looks like a rally. And it actually was. Both drivers were under 30 years old and completely overestimated their abilities… and of course you don’t do a damned race on the autobahn ! One of the cars crashed into the guardrail and was spinning three times and landed on the roof of the other car, which immediately started to burn. Both of the drivers are in mortal danger and it was luck that nothing happened to us.🙏🏽

On our way home, today a car rolled over several times after it crashed into the guardrail. It happened a few minutes before we got there.. Big chais and the smell if a burning car .. I am still terrified and feel for the victims.

We kicked off mybirthday weekend with the restored version of “Magnolia,” a masterpiece by genius Paul Thomas Anderson. Its haunting beauty and sharp relevancy to today’s disturbing topics felt intense, so we disappeared into the night at our favourite bar. The theater's pre-premiere on Friday, featuring T.S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land,” was as brilliant and inspiring as I’d hoped.
On Saturday, I hosted a brunch, and today we took a trip to the countryside, where we saw cranes resting before 70,000 of them continue their journey south.
Despite everything weighing on us right now, reflecting on current themes through art, discussing them with friends, and finding solace in nature has been healing and energising.
