Reminder: There is no evidence that mask bans stop crime. Mask bans make cities more unsafe because preventing people from wearing masks increases the spread of diseases.

To reduce the harms of #COVID, we are fighting for: public health tools, clean indoor air, universal healthcare, sick pay, work protections etc. All these things also reduce the health impacts of #climatechange including wildfire smoke, heatwaves, insect-borne diseases and more.
Something climate activists who are ignoring #COVID need to know: Working to reduce the harm of current pandemics, and preparing for future pandemics, is a key component of climate adaptation. Health justice isn't a distraction. The climate crisis IS a public health crisis.
The politicians who cause the government shutdown should not get paid.
The workers who are have no control, but are adversely impacted by the government shutdown are the ones who should continue to get paid.
It's never a good idea to shut down the government due to political selfishness, but doing so right when your country's largest city is dealing with historic flooding is unethical and disastrous.
