the auth request (challenge) is sent from a relay to the client, this value is meaningless to anyone else
only the client can sign it, and anything else in the message is irrelevant
nobody can sign with the valid public key and challenge except the holder of the private key, so why does the relay address matter?
i already got one ack on this proposal and i am pretty confident the rest will ack also
and it solves the problem that makes your project more or less useless if you care about not exposing your nsec to remote attackers to hardware not in your direct physical control
this will mean that you can add one small feature to your project where it forwards AUTH messages back and forth to the relays, it only needs to keep track of the challenge and relay address so it forwards the auth response to the relay that will recognise it (and btw, typically these live for only 20 seconds at best).
the relevance of your perspective is pretty irrelevant also
nobody thinks in terms of 1ksats... the exchange rate to a dollar hovers around 2-4 currently, by this unit, adoption of showing exchange rates as sats/$ hasn't quite taken hold yet, but it's far more likely than 1ksats when you factor in that we are likely in for a 10x in the next year or two, the value will be under your unit and then what?
the satoshi is the unit, there has been fractional units between 1BTC and 1 satoshi since the beginning but almost nobody uses them except maybe i remember "bitcents" was a thing when that was a near dollar amount
i think next cycle everyone is going to finally wake up and realise that we need to increase the precision of the unit
but that's not relevant to this discussion
iOS nostr users: buy a cheap android phone and stop drinking the tim cook white milk
i have made a proposal to relax the requirement of the matching relay tag, as it's actually irrelevant anyway
with this accepted and relays changed to this the problem doesn't require any action by clients to make your project able to do auth proxying without making the user's nsec more vulnerable
i'd be happy to consult with you about making a NIP for proxying where the signed response can be different to the relay asking for it
ahhhh... yeah that could be a problem if your client is only thinking it is talking to one relay
well, it could be fixed with an extra tag maybe... only the challenge is really important
it would be great to have a full proxying relay like this that does auth because you can't access your DMs or use paid relays without auth
there's no reason i can see why the auth requests can't be forwarded to the client and bostr act as a pure proxy when it is given auth events on either side
the auth response message contains the relay to forward it to so there's no state required either
the war in heaven is in the bible, i forget which book, exodus maybe?
in a different form but a lot of correspondences it's found in the Vishnu Purana as well
the ancient greeks called it the Titanomachy, the war of the titans, and the titans claimed to have won it but that isn't true because they turned tail and sailed off around africa counterclockwise and ended up in the red sea and invaded the peoples there (this all is around 15,000 years ago btw, before the mini ice age that was the younger dryas)
i'm pretty sure it's in sumerian mythology and babylonian and almost everywhere, and many versions especially by the cultures that were invaded by these ass-pirates in the now middle east (was lush green land then, before the fly-by of a meteor that blew up over the atlantic) and established the first modern tyrannical monarchies, and started the "mandate of heaven" or "divine right of kings" perversions
this is for the instance running on an off-site VPS? as in... nsec... in a configuration file that is not on a machine physically in your control
yes, and that would be applied to all grain and starchy foods, which actually have a long term uncivilizing effect (promoting genetic defects, short stature, weak digestive system, diabeetus)
TIL about sun dogs.

Pliny the Elder comments on them:
there is an account of moon dogs in the qur'an, same phenomenon
there's other kinds i observed around the same time which i see some are related to markets and calendars but a few more numbers come up that i can't find information about:

where are these new proposed message types, being sent already by clients, but not yet present in the NIPs repo being discussed so i can stay up to date with this?
personally i think it was a mistake making kinds into codes like this, i'm sure i'll learn to recognise a hundred or more of them as i work with them more but it's really cryptic and unfriendly
get OORRF MY LAWNNNNN
the 1059 event type is not yet listed on the main readme of the NIPs, but i have observed from coracle receiving a request filter with 4, 1059 and 1060 - what is the name of the 1060 event?

good day to you also!
i'm pretty sure i will get to be known as the salty grandpa of nostr sooner or later not quite 50 years old yet tho, and certainly no children
the idea of a flood covering the whole world is ridiculous but a heap of rocks hitting the earth can explain much of europe and the americas being flooded (and there is plenty of evidence this happened, the eye of the sahara looks exactly like it was washed away, for example)
there is also a very good hypothesis that noah was somewhere in the region of bulgaria or romania and it wasn't about saving all the animals it was about having animals to farm when the waters finally stopped - the first hypothesis i read that pointed to this suggested maybe it referred to a great glacial melt but giant hot boulders in the atlantic would also very well explain months of rain, including the dust storm, and the evidence exists, the period was called the Younger Dryas and it wasn't until a bit over 1000 years later that another incident happened that burned the shit out of all of the middle east, egypt and north africa, blew up over the atlantic and created several lakes in north america, and all of these are verifiable ... there is numerous legends about a giant fire dragon soaring across the sky, some called it leviathan... , i think others called it jormundangr, it was so legendary i think that the story got to the australian aboriginals who called it the rainbow serpent
and also, the first five books of the bible are basically ripped straight off the sumerian mythology and are the basis of the jewish religion lol
oof, well, thems the atheists right? they can't believe people would do this even though they also understand things like cults exist, and cargo cults, where primitive people have stories about some people who appeared with unbelievable technology they had no words to describe... magic!
