A year ago, I reached a point of frustration with the prevailing narratives that dominated discussions on the world economy. None of the voices out there, despite containing varying degrees of truth, spoke to me convincingly enough. This led me to embark on a journey to understand the it from first principles.

I criticize the left frequently in this space. I trie to be rational and fair, while also being true to myself which is someone with progressive/left values and politics.
The utter silence from so many on the right to criticize the right or Trump is insane. Trump is going full shitcoin scam into the election. We have to be able to call a spade a spade from the right and left. Even if you support Trump, I thought the Bitcoiners in his ear were influential with him? If they were, they wouldn’t be suggesting he should be promoting crypto scams and risking their reputations or conflating Bitcoin and whatever it is he’s doing which is certainly not Bitcoin.
He uses truth social instead of nostr (or even x)

I tend to think about it like this: yes, it absolutely matters in the short term to those alive today- but it matters little to future generations (unless we change our ways) as the foundational principle of fiat is to borrow from the future until there is no future left
Personally, I believe there are a lot of “infinite leaders” out there - many politician - but they’re facing an uphill battle that only grows against them due to our skewed incentive structures that rewards the opposite of what those leaders stand for. As a result, I think many of them feel like they’re beginning to lack ideas of what to do about it. I think many of these infinite leaders however would embrace sound money principles and Bitcoin if they only read up on it. This is why I find it incredibly important to vote, and when I do, I do it for the leaders with the infinite mindset - even though I may not fully agree with their policies. I do so because I think they will be the most susceptible to the better idea - which is sound money - once they inevitably understand the principles. ✊🌱

Got it! So, at that point, an employer would likely either run their own node or collaborate with another company that does, enabling them to pay a newcomer to the job market using a custodial Lightning wallet.
If the employee wanted to move their salary, they could freely transfer funds to other custodial Layer 2 wallets. However, they wouldn’t be able to take self-custody without settling on Layer 1?
Additionally, a group of individuals who don’t trust any custodial options could theoretically crowdfund a Layer 1 fee and open their own Lightning node. Is that correct?
