On android, how do I select a different default wallet to send zaps. I selected phoenix but at a 4sat minimum fee it's not good for zapping. Want to try breeze instead but I don't know how to change the default.
Wallet of Satoshi left the app stores presumably because of regulatory pressures.
Good. We can move on.
Step 1: Download Blixt Wallet on Github. Install the APK file on your phone. They're on Google Play and the App Store, but we've learned our lesson haven't we?
https://blixtwallet.github.io/
Open a channel by sending a bitcoin transaction to the wallet say between 2 and 5 million sats, but it's up to you.
That's it. The channel opens automatically.
You should coinjoin before you send the sats too, but take baby steps if you need to.
Now send the sats to another wallet for inbound liquididty or spend sats.
To save fees, you can swap from lightning to liquid using boltz.
They have an onion address. You'll need the TOR browser.
http://boltzzzbnus4m7mta3cxmflnps4fp7dueu2tgurstbvrbt6xswzcocyd.onion/
They also have a clearnet version(use a VPN).
You can get a liquid wallet with Blockstream's Green App.
Next, go into the advanced settings of the Blixt Wallet and set a lightning address in the lightning box settings.
Add the lightning address to your nostr profile.
Don't trust, verify.
Is the point of this to get a lightning address to receive zaps?
I don't understand, is there more information about this out there?
I'm now on stacker.news the stacker news live episodes on Thriller Bitcoin are on the short list of pods I listen to as soon as they come out. Now maybe I'll be able to make it on the list!
Took wallet of satoshi fud to get me to finally do something else to receive zaps. Stacker.news was a no brainer for me.

Looks like a good sheep! That one you will be eating?
More free sats for you!
I make this mistake more often than I'd like to admit.
I'm not suggesting that this specific transaction was actually washing bitcoin but I got me thinking this might be a way to do it because large pools have so much hash they can afford to work on out of band transactions.
I don't know about this specific transaction but a pool could be paid out of band to mine a transaction with a large fee then pay a portion of the fee back to the sender and get paid for the service. A PPS pool like antpool is well setup to do something like this because the miners only get paid out of the block reward not the fees.
Yuuuge mistake 🥹

"This is the largest #bitcoin transaction fee ever paid in dollar terms, at a cost of $3.14m.
The previous record holder was the PayPal/Paxos incident a few months ago, clocking in at only $510k"

Could this be a way to wash hacked/stolen Bitcoin?
I haven't found a solution to use alby on mobile, but there's Nostore for apple products.

and nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac and nostr:npub1zfss807aer0j26mwp2la0ume0jqde3823rmu97ra6sgyyg956e0s6xw445 have been pounding out some stuff for a nos2x nostr connect app.
nostr:npub1a74m59m2c7l8ffp4sngwga5et37254ujjw5w09dz0jgs84m7lkmswnrrsx try this instead of alby to store your private keys.
My buddy has iPhone, been tricky to get a simple stack for him to have all the functionality and try different clients.
I'll try this later. Thanks
I have to try kiwi again. Couldn't get it to work before.
It's pretty simple, cut a hole in the back of the dryer heat vent close to where it vents into the drum, then put a coupling and attach duct. Block the heat vent in some way so all the air goes into the drum. Probably disconnect the heating element...
Comparing an Avalon 1047 to an S9 that I can get both for close to the same price point.
There is more energy draw but my goal was to try and work it like nostr:npub1f5pre6wl6ad87vr4hr5wppqq30sh58m4p33mthnjreh03qadcajs7gwt3z does with applying it to multiple uses of the heat.
If the price point is close should I go for the Avalon which is around 35Th vs S9 13.5TH

Something to consider is the amount of attenuation and features the firmware offers. With an S9 there are options like braiins and vnish for 3rd party firmware. I'm not sure that there is much 3rd party firmware support for caanon miners. So you likely won't be able to underclock it as well or control fan speeds. Potentially less versatile but much more power efficient than the S9.
I will say, for as much of a bad name caanon has for quality, customer service, and availability of parts, I use an Avalon 1246 for my clothes dryer. It is much more robust than the s19 jpro I have. The Avalon rarely over heats and it's totally gummed up with dryer lint (I really need to clean it). The s19 couldn't make it through half a cycle without overheating. I've been pleased with the 1246 for the 5 months I've been using it.
How does one use alby to sign in to clients on an iPhone? Can you use alby to sign into damus or primal?
Where can I find the nsec in alby?
Looks like some kind of yarrow, did you smell it?
I use Lincoin pool too, it is an FPPS (full pay per share) pool which means while I'm hashing I'm earning Bitcoin.
With most other pool formats I must be hashing while a block is found by the pool to get paid. When miners are running 24/7 this isn't an issue, they will never miss when the pool hits a block.
My miners are turning on and off frequently. With intermittent hash it's more important to guarantee a consistent payout which is why I like the FPPS structure and why I use Lincoin.
Lincoin has free withdrawals to paynym at a 100k minimum threshold too. This means I get better privacy and more frequent withdrawals without withdrawal fees eating into my earnings. I haven't looked at other pools in many months but I've not found a better deal for my situation.
