It's podcast episodes like these that give me confidence the culture of Bitcoin is developing in a strong and resilient direction. Proud to be a member of the #meshtadel and have the opportunity to participate.
Wild honey bee hive discovery
https://v.nostr.build/jYgrj.mp4
Observe and Interact, while collecting the maple sugaring equipment from the woods I noticed honey bees frequently landing on the buckets to drink some of the sweet sap. There was so many of them around, I thought the hive must be somewhere nearby. I made sure to look up and at any large trees with holes in their trunk. I quickly found a cherry tree swarming with honey bees! If I have time I'll set a swarm trap later this spring and see if we can get some bee hives going again.

I completely agree with you nostr:npub1klj98ahaaduuegwcd7lscjeqa0h2680f75r82gnr35pua8ls36xqh9t938. Poor choices in spending Bitcoin reveal waste in my personal lifestyle too. I've also been thinking in terms of resilience and increasing sovereignty. If spending Bitcoin isn't going to make more Bitcoin, increase resilience or sovereignty then I'm less likely to spend it.
It's really challenging to pinpoint when the scales tip in favor of spending because the financial capital opportunity cost is so great. I think nostr:npub1cf3zeytdnwgwzz5pk2ax0vvmmlzad03xcft4d50ejrfhsh8pxcdsefx7gk makes some good points on the topic of spending Bitcoin. I like the thought that it's not only about hodling as much bitcoin as possible but, as he says, it's about getting it across the finish line too. Thinking in these terms helps me decide what to spend on.
I hear nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n often say, always be frugal; never be cheap. When I spend Bitcoin on something the feedback becomes much more clear if a choice was frugal. I find myself valuing the longevity of a purchase more. The longer I can wait to replace something, the less Bitcoin I will have to spend on the replacement.
Strangely enough, Bitcoin also creates the stability for one to choose to sacrifice time being productive for more time building life experience and spending time with family, for example. I find my self valuing time spent building forms of capital that money can't necessarily buy like experiencial, and social capital more than I used to.
In short, the saying Bitcoin fixes this is resonates with me when it comes to capital allocation.

I thought you were already swole? Going for super swole??
I have found nostr.build to be the best way to host the images and videos for my notes. Well worth the price and I plan on renewing. Don't forget that Nostr is a local circular economy for Bitcoin. Being a participant adds value for all others.
This is true, any process that could use Bitcoin mining and doesn't is wasting energy.
It's the pool I use. Lots of great tools. The pool for the plebs in my opinion. They are always making improvements and keeping the home miner in mind.
Lincoin pool has lightning payouts
Unfortunately, no... We will get together at some point before lake satsoshi I hope.
New born Katahdin lambs!

Spring is in full swing at the homestead. First lambs born yesterday one day after putting the sheep back on pasture again. The rest of the ewes should be having their lambs over the next week or so. Fun to wake up and go check for new lambs first thing in the morning every day until they are all born.

The katahdin hair sheep have officially started their grazing season. The first grazing loop is usually pretty fast because the grass is still growing in but typically the sheep will graze all the pastures in 30-45 days. We move paddocks every 2-4 days to help break the parasite cycles, and distribute the impact of the sheep more evenly. The sheep can usually keep grazing until November.

I will be making improvements to this Bitcoin mining dehydrator design, hopefully soon, that will utilize an S19 hashboard running on 110v. Going from 75j/th at best to better than 29j/th. I had the dehydrator running most days from spring to winter last year. I'm about to fire it up again.
Okay it's there now, not sure why it wasn't loading at first.
Strange, it looks like the nostr:npub1vpx9596duxdsmx4kwksycm2u4qy0gr6mzg289m52q96gdy97s9zsnkjspj tag didn't work.

Can't see the note, which meetup is it referencing?
My favorite news source for a pleb miner!
Not sure why there is hate for Lincoin pool... They offer so many tools to help a pleb maximize hash and now they offer lightning withdrawals with no minimum threshold! I can't think of a better pool for plebs.
