I believe soma, once we have anyprevout, will obsolete altcoins further, ordinals, and decentralize previously centralized systems like DNS.

I want to write a nostr client that mimics an email client.
We could use NIP-05 identifiers for the Send To address, NIP-04 for encryption, & NIP-01/23 for subject line + content.
Granted, it wouldn't be secure enough yet to replace email, though, it would be kind of cool.
Looking forward to this! Getting back to hacking on my nostr projects :D
