not surprised. have you ever read the tos? invasive af, but not particularly unique. many us based spyware apps do similar. that said, it's important that we all have the continued freedom to not use them as well โ๐ป๐
I hear you, you raise some very important concerns, and yes I do carefully evaluate my support for products. I'm happy to hear that comes across. Thank you for your kind words ๐

Mozilla's goal of an open internet is imo a very important one. Firefox receives donations from Google to make it the default search engine on their browser and has for many years.
In the beginning Google was chasing Firefox, now Chrome is by far the #1 browser, and google search the #1 search engine by far. I believe these donations continue more because Google does not want to seem like the monopoly it is than Firefox being in bed with them.
In short, Firefox is the only open source browser that has ever made it to the top 3. I believe we can't let it fail. We must support Mozilla. Open AI is not open. I am excited about the prospect of a Mozilla open source AI.
I use Librewolf (hardened Firefox) & Tor (a modified version of Firefox). Mullvad browser is hardened Firefox. Without Mozilla the internet would be a very shitty place.
Some refreshing news...
