My goal is to have Bitcoin on the balance sheet. Still working on the business part. Even if the price doesn’t rise substantially in future, hard money is essential.

But practically monitoring people on here is probably easy since it’s so open. However meddling with time lines I wouldn’t think is easy at all.

Ultimately, I still feel like it’s better than centralised controlled platforms, where time line modifications and monitoring are both much more likely.

A moment ago I was listening to some music before bed, when I found myself really enjoying the song.

So I picked up my phone wanting to show my appreciation by sending some sats and … wait, where is the zap button?

Just for a moment, I was irritated that the app I wasnt working and I couldn’t send something to the composer, but then realty set back in and I realised this is the norm, most apps can’t do that.

I haven’t been using #nostr for all that long, but it has already fundamentally changed the way I think about ... a lot of things.

This is the way.

Here’s some ‘not real’ money

I think the Bitcoin mindset just gets a large portion of people here… they have the same thought process.

But the more people join, the more diverse it becomes.

Maybe I am missing something here, but I don’t seen the point in #ordinals on the #bitcoin chain.

1st, It’s trying to give more value to sats than what they are actually worth… which is odd to me. Are people just trying to make a quick buck here?

2nd, It’s taking up space that could rather be used by legitimate transactions. (maybe there is a general benifit for increasing network usage, but I get the feeling it’s not a great balance).

3rd, I think it makes Bitcoin look like other crappy web3 chains with magic NFTs that are suddenly worth massive amounts of money. That’s not what Bitcoin is. Bitcoin is more than that.

Bitcoin is not designed nor intended for ordinals, and I don’t think that it should be.

That’s my 2 cents.

Please feel free to comment if you disagree. I always look for different views. Perhaps there are additional benefits that I don’t yet see.

I like to think of it in terms of a foundation. So long as we all work on a solid and incorruptible foundation, then there is always a common truth we can trace back to.

There is a place for centralised things in the world, and that’s fine, but the foundation cannot be like that.

Thats kind of the root of why Bitcoin excites me so much.
