Some would. Some might see it as duty to prevent Hitler from taking power.
People are more stupid and more tribal than I ever imagined possible.
Thx for the heads up…I always keep a little on exchange until fees make sense compared to value. But now is time to zero it out.
Unsettled and unsettling legal question: does the United States currently have a president elect or not?
The constitution and amendments have a plan for what to do if president elect dies…but it appears one doesn’t become president elect until elected. And the election hasn’t happened yet. Remember, electoral college hasn’t voted yet, and their votes won’t be counted until Jan 3-6.
If Trump dies before becoming president elect, governors of the states could, in theory, send electors to the college for the runner up or anyone…if you assume governors would send electors according to their own political party, Harris wins 291 to 247.
The point of the vault is to not trust them.
Ever wonder why all exchanges for anything don’t handle well under pressure? It took me a while to figure this out.
Doesn’t matter if it’s GME or bitcoin…
Exchanges make everything seem like it’s happening in real time. But it’s not. It takes time to settle a trade. During that time the exchange takes on risk, because the UI you see makes it look like the transaction already happened. If exchange sees many buy (or sell) orders, that risk can only grow so big before they have to halt trading (to one side; risk decreases if trading starts going the other way).
Trust minimization is the name of the game. Hence the vault.
Swan vault looks interesting. Fees seem a little steep if you multiply fees by ten to feel the pain of the future value of bitcoin you didn’t stack. $20/month stings when you think about it as $24,000 a year.
I think we will go through a generation of “British teeth” for middle to upper middle class folks before sound money fixes all the perverse incentives.
I feel a lot of people take dental health for granted. But in poor areas, losing all your teeth is just considered part of life. More people will be in the poor category if we have an explosion of dental disease driving up dental services demand.
Very cool! https://bitronics.store/product/nerdminer/
Wish bitaxe had that screen. I’ve still gotta set up my bitaxe with a pool…lotto mining at 1TH won’t ever work out.
Cool…very cool! For sale? Code available ?
I’m curious to see how the fluoride thing works out. Before fluoridated water, there were a ton more dental schools and a ton more dentists. But maybe reopening dental schools will be a good thing.
Already is, but you might be confusing cash and currency. There’s a massive difference. But history has deprived us of the difference in every day life.
In some ways, Trump is bad for Bitcoin. Why? Crypto scams will probably proliferate and become more profitable if his alleged plan to make tokens issued by US companies be exempt from capital gains tax passes.
For those pushing for the strategic bitcoin stockpile: do you really want your abusive government to steal more of your money to become even more rich and powerful?
I don’t, despite the dollar gains bitcoin would show…
Oh, he will. He’s a loved horse. But as far as preparation for death, he will kept medication wise appropriate for lion food use. It’s a lot of meat and people don’t like it…but lions eat $$$$ a lot of meat and they like horse, or so I’m told.
We have a horse that’s getting near to end of life in a few years. This is where he will be going when it comes to the end. We have a big sanctuary not too far from our place.
