As someone who played Trackmania a lot in its early years, these videos never fail to amaze me. This one, however, is especially wonderful because it shows so clearly that current AI techniques (reinforcement learning in this case) is still missing what we call human ingenuity—the creative “spark” that is quite mysterious in it’s own kind.
Watched the whole thing from start to finish without skipping a second, and if you’re at all interested in any of the stuff mentioned above I recommend you do the same.
