Before I found Bitcoin I spent significantly more time reading, watching, listening to the news. All the time trying to make sense of the trending chaos. I knew in my gut something was wrong. Bitcoin and Bitcoiners taught me what was wrong. It is the money. They money is broken and politicians / governments broke it. #1971
Now I mainly listen to Bitcoin podcasts / news and focus that energy on Bitcoin and the ecosystem. As a result, I got less angry and frustrated because I can now opt in to a system that shares my values. It was a healing process. As a physician, I appreciate that and now recommend it to others.

Advice of the day for those in US.
Would not own real estate in a blue city or blue state. My advice would be deep, deep red areas only and only the least amount to make you happy. Too many attack vectors for physical property moving forward.
Otherwise I would just own digital property in cyber space. Clearly for me that is bitcoin. Just my 2 cents.
What is going on in Maui is weird.
My guess is government failure is playing a role due to the woke kind virus / brainwashing affects on blue politicians. Hawaii is a deep, deep blue state. Would not trust their politics a with my property. Of course everyone has their on opinion. Just mine and a thought for the day.

Great post. I tell my kids all the time life is about error correction. You are going to make mistakes but it is essential that you admit them to yourself so you can learn from. I have learned the most from my mistakes. They made me who I am today and part of my story. This also why we must study history as well. History may not repeat but it does rhyme.
Also listen to your elders and learn from their mistakes. My grandparents lived through the stock market crash of 1929, the Great Depression and WWII. I so wish they had something like Bitcoin. They gave me excellent advice which I cherish. Times may be tough now with our ruling regime. When I feel down about the current state of our political / elite class I remind myself of the greatest generation. Gives me strength to keeping pushing toward the light of truth.
