I’m particularly interested in the opportunity for bitcoin to transform the pension industry as one angle!

> My grand-grandfathers fought in WW2, then returned home to lose their savings to inflation & have everything collectivized by the communists. Imagine fighting on the Eastern front, returning home from Stalingrad on foot, and realising that instead of getting rewarded you’re punished by the new regime.

> Their kids faced systemic discrimination because of their "bourgeois origins”. Grandpa couldn’t finish high school for a few years because ironically, the same communists who advocate for universal education, thought it was dangerous for someone like him to get an intellectual job (he eventually became a school teacher).

> My parents lost their savings to inflation in the 90s. All the money they received at their wedding, which could buy a new car (Dacia 1310, look it up), ended up only buying them a new couch for the bedroom.

This is why I Bitcoin. I’m luckier than they were and I’m using their learnings as motivation to not go through the same issues. I am the result of 4 generations that got screwed by communists.

My core skills are selling to enterprise businesses specifically the csuite but it goes much deeper than that consulting to help them transform their businesses.

But yes understanding social, marketing, customer service and finance are core skills too.

I’m having an existential moment, the background,

1. In January, I unexpectedly lost my job, although I had a sense that it might happen.

2. As a single father, my primary focus is taking care of my two children full-time.

3. I’ve successfully sold Salesforce consulting services for the last 12 years, I’ve really enjoyed helping customers achieve their goals and learnt so much along the way about tons of organisations in all kinds of industries.

4. I’ve had enough of it, the Salesforce culture and ecosystem has lost its lustre for me, it’s all too woke, carbon hysterical, there’s no joy anymore

5. For the last few years I’ve fallen down the bitcoin rabbit hole and loved it, I’m passionate, educated, articulate, I get excited about taking about it and do a good job getting others interested in it, it’s how I used to feel about my fiat job

6. I really need to find some work that gets me as juiced as selling services used to and that bitcoin does, or I need to snap out of it and get back in the fiat mine, it’s not that I’m not interviewing I am but I just can’t get me enthusiasm going.

Getting this out of my head and into the world, I find it helps me process it, and I know a ton of you will be struggling with how bitcoin changes you.
