Civ Kit, the P2P marketplace project that’s being built on top of Nostr, will also enable users to trade gift cards with an escrow and a conflict resolution system to make scamming more difficult.

According to co-founder @raycivkit, gift cards are a delicate issue due to being created by a handful of companies that don’t offer any public way to verify the validity of codes. But Civ Kit will include a way to encourage honest gift card trades.

Does Civ Kit charge any fees?

According to project co-founder @raycivkit, Civ Kit is an open source protocol which enables anyone to set up their marketplaces on top of Nostr, using bitcoin. But since this is a protocol, there are no fees coming from the creators.

On the other hand, Market Masters (those who use the open source framework to set up their businesses) can opt to charge a fee from the escrowed amount. And if they do want to support Civ Kit development, they can make donations.
