Yes exactly, like the predators are a symptom of some other issue or lack of order in the system. I get it. Some times it’s messy until we figure it out.
And I do generally try to follow the concepts that they discuss and believe in them. But I don’t judge another Shepards decisions and absolutely respect their right to defend their own flock.
Unfortunately, Yes. As majestic and beautiful as these animals are government mis-management has created an over abundance of them which then decimate livestock. I hope we can come up with a way to deal them that doesn’t require killing them. So far prayer is working for me.😀

A friend of mine has a goat and sheep operation about 20x larger than mine she has lost 60 animals since June to this cat. I pray every night that my animals be kept safe. This is a Shepards nightmare. 
It’s amazing to me the variety of things sheep will eat, when I first got sheep everyone told me how picky they are, that they’ll only graze grass. I’m convinced this mind set is from industrialized farming. My sheep love variety and eat all kinds of things that are considered toxic with no ill effects. Mistletoe, scotch broom, bark from trees, blackberry leaves, oak leaves and everything in between. They actually prefer many of the above to hay and other industrialized feeds if given the choice.

Once it gets hot I drop the metal lid on top and seal it with Dirt. Works ok but definitely not ideal
