GN all. Another day on the books, another 144 blocks, another wave of nostriches and notes. Another tomorrow waiting.

I've probably listened to Everlong thousands of times. It literally never gets old.

We can't control the world but we can control how we react to it.
GM nostriches.
Walked into a dumpster fire at the fiat mine. Gonna need that second cup.
But this is why we are here, right? To fix what's broken and to get shit done.

I'd recommend Othello. It's excellent, Iago is one of my favorite villains in fiction.
Same. Not just for nostr and lightning too - I've upgraded my life significantly from the signal over the last few years. Grateful π»
Totally. Time scarcity is real.
I used it for a while and stacked slightly more than if I had just bought the sats at market rate.
But the math (at that point) was unless you were channelling $800 or more through the card each month it wasn't worth the fees and you would end up with net fewer sats.
And then they started diluting the spin wheel to make it financially viable for them to support, so I imagine that number is higher now.
You would have to do some napkin math to figure out if it's worth it for your particular circumstances.
Usually it's the 'be humble' part that trips people up π
Everything to the left of the bud lite pic feels like they are from years ago.
It's bizarre how the current thing cycle distorts your perception of time.
It's all about learning and growing. Please reach out to #asknostr or #plebchain and there will always be folks that are happy to answer questions.
That's the great thing about nostr - it's for everyone! There's just an outsized number of bitcoiners here because there is a lot of overlap between Bitcoin and freedom tech like nostr.
I'd say that if you are on nostr already you are a 'precoiner' or one who isn't personally or financially invested yet into Bitcoin, but has the right mindset to understand it's value proposition.
If you are looking for good resources on learning more, most people on here will be more than happy to help and answer questions.
I'd recommend 21millionTV on YouTube for a series of great (and short) videos as an introduction.
This podcast episode from 2020 is a peerless conversation that also serves as a great introduction, although it is pretty long.
Ah, my apologies. I shouldn't assume that everyone in nostr is a bitcoiners π
A 'shitcoin' is a colloquial term within Bitcoin circles for people who own, trade, or shill digital tokens that are not Bitcoin.
Normies is just slang for people who haven't woken up to [insert truth here], but in this context it means those who have not yet adopted Bitcoin as a long term savings vehicle.
I hope that helps π
It was a meme that started in Bitcoin Twitter in I want to say late 2020?
#laserrayuntil100k or something like that. I forget who started it but it spread like wildfire until you started seeing shitcoiners and normies with laser eyes on their profile pics lol
I like A1 sometimes on a burger. It has good flavor.
Not something I'd put on a steak though, that's what butter and salt is for π
nostr:npub1s5yq6wadwrxde4lhfs56gn64hwzuhnfa6r9mj476r5s4hkunzgzqrs6q7z's first episode of TIP's Wednesday release BTC001 aged incredibly well. I've gone back and listened to it multiple times over the last couple of years.
It's such a good conversation to introduce precoiners to. If you've never given it a listen, it's well worth the time.
