Why does WordPress suck?

a) Slower for visitors

You're selling less business, people are walking away from your malware that loads slow.

Search engines punish slow speed.

b) Slower to make

I hope you like carpel tunnel. WordPress forces you to go in a browser and manually modify shit with a mouse, which is proven to hurt your hands in the long term. Plus it's slow load speeds to work on something constantly reloading on a remote server, so you're urinating on your own time. On top of network issues with Tor

c) Leeching Big Tech malware.

You're leaking to the government your income, your sales, and reducing your freedom of speech. While it's technically true WordPress is "open source", it has malware Google fonts by default on the front end, jsdeliver to function, and Cloudflare and Google on the backend. Then to do most tasks, you to install 3rd party plugins which are often closed source and have security vulnerabilities. This is because WordPress suffers from mission creep, where they want to do everything.

d) Hypocrite

You say you want decentralization, but your customers think you're a hypocrite. Most uBlock Origin users immediately see the google fonts and JSDeliver and know you're using WordPress. Now you're trying to sell them on your expertise, but you're using amateur tools.

e) WordPress plugins need constant updates for security, but your setup has a unique combination of plugins. Therefore, as time passes by, the probability of a unique failure increases, which costs more money to solve.

Instead, ditch bloat WordPress, and go with Hugo.

Hugo is a static site generator. This means it generates static content locally on your computer, then you upload and serve a finished static thing. On the other hand, malware WordPress has a live database, and then dynamically creates that content on the site while your visitors wait for it to load.

With Hugo, you don't need any coding knowledge to easily and effortlessly format text, add pictures, and change the layout of your articles, on your local offline computer with the keyboard like an alpha male, as opposed to a worthless carpel tunnel bitch clicking a mouse in a remote browser using Big Tech malware.

CLI is a GUI, it's just a bad one

Never heard of it but I'll have to look into it, as a decentralized DNS alternative sounds pretty awesome.

Some quick suggestions.

For decentralization, check out IPFS or LBRY. While IPFS isn't specifically a blockchain, it does make use of blockchain for its Filecoin token which incentivizes people to contribute to the IPFS network (which, itself, offers a potentially better version of the internet in the long run).

Meanwhile, LBRY runs off of the LBRY blockchain and allows users to upload content that's decentralized and solely under the control of the person who uploads it. It can't just be taken down arbitrarily.

And in terms of governance, that's the area where things are still developing but it's related to the concept of a DAO and the utility purposes that NFTs CAN offer. A DAO can allow decentralized and democratic governance of an app or organization. NFTs don't have to just be "owning a JPG", they can be tokens that offer an individual voting rights, among many other purposes. Again, this area is developing and far from perfect but it offers a lot of potential.

Despite that last one being a WIP, the first two are objectively ethical and important purposes that non-Bitcoin blockchains can offer, and there are many other examples as well.

matrix-synapse, the server software for the matrix stores every single thing a user account/device does in every room in two tables called state events. so if you opened or closed your matrix client on your phone while in this room, the matrix server has a record of that. if you changed your avatar, or your username. if you joined or left the room. it saves all that data. for everybody in every room the server is in.

so rooms like matrixHQ that have ~50k users in it, it's storing all that data for 50k users since march 2021.

now, that's not the only room thats an issue. there's rooms like the genshin impact room where somebody decided it was a wise idea to bridge the matrix room and a telegram channel with several thousand users, so now that matrix room is full of several thousand telegram bots also keeping tabs on those telegram users on/offline status, their name changes, their profile changes
