Poqueira valley walk - Pampaneira
Camera: Pentax Spotmatic SP
Film: Ilford FP4
Developer: Ilford Ilfotec LC29 1+19 7min @20C
Agitation: 4 inversions during the first 10 seconds, then 4 inversions every min.
The last photo from this walk. Time to get some bread from the bakery (on the right) and go back to the campsite for some rest. The total distance walked was 21km with a cumulative height gain of over 700m....

nostr:npub1hu7tq2hgnvmwjs55yzqsj57qzleacnuekhcwdjx8zj6g3mdc83fqht4g0d OK, have you spoken to Kameratori directly and explained the issues?
nostr:npub1eu2qddvuama0dv48y3hjq2vyt92gxu6th2nre7kvu7a49p25zfwqmr33hz I have messaged them. They are closed over the weekend, so I will hear from them on Monday

Souvenir shops and a factory outlet shop for Alpujarran rugs. I have several from here.

nostr:npub1l95rqqu23e4sest9kypqny389nslcrmewxn20960wmezxyntq2sq25q30u It’s a minefield trying to buy good working gear this old. Glad you got your problem sorted. I’m sure I will too… eventually.
nostr:npub1sdms0942fed02rrv0s4jzg5mf803lflvxl905d04nj37a2autzvqj9wzn8 Thanks for your suggestion. I don’t think it is caused by a binding spool though, as too much film is being wound through, rather than not enough.
I do like your idea of sacrificing a roll of film and watching what happens when you wind on. So obvious, yet I didn’t think of it! I have half a dozen rolls of Ilford FP4 with Ilford measles.Perfect for testing purposes like this. I shall wait to see what the Kamerastore will say on Monday. But definitely one to remember 👍.
nostr:npub1w6t89p963ka0upefgt0semtwta56argz2uewddnc3h68yhxm9hmqkv9g9u Thanks for taking the trouble to get back to me. The pressure plate is set correctly. I did note that when I unpacked the camera.
Do you live in Spain or here on holiday? Either way, happy days! Take care, it's rather hot here, as you may have noticed 🥵
nostr:npub1fsauswwzdexqgt57gsteh45p9g3skfv5p4l945rfr7kad22g7z8swwfgfx There is no issue there. You have 30 days (if I remember correctly) to return a camera for a full refund. I won’t be out of pocket, but it's the inconvenience. I have been thinking of buying a C330 for several years ( I already have an RB67 and M645). So when this reconditioned, tested, and in full working order came onto the market, I snapped it up straight away. It was pricey, but I thought at least I would have a good one…
nostr:npub1ju5kkhzekw2pxggprt7wgvll3e5y0emrxdqm0du0l3dcc97st69syqtypd The shutter jammed once. I managed to free it up by switching to multi-exposure mode, cocking the lens manually and was then able to fire the shutter. I switched back to single mode, and it was OK after that. The bigger problem is the frame spacing.

nostr:npub1ju5kkhzekw2pxggprt7wgvll3e5y0emrxdqm0du0l3dcc97st69syqtypd I have read about the lock screen. It’s necessary to enable the lenses to be changed. I only have one lens, so I haven’t touched anything to do with that. I don’t see how a cable release should make any difference. Maybe I should investigate. Although probably best to wait until I hear from #kamerastore
nostr:npub1ju5kkhzekw2pxggprt7wgvll3e5y0emrxdqm0du0l3dcc97st69syqtypd It’s a lovely camera, and I enjoyed using it. It’s annoying that it was not checked properly before it was sent to me. I’m sure that #kamerastore will sort it out, but it’s the hassle and inconvenience, not to mention the cost of film, chemicals and my time.
This is the whole film cut and sleeved. Frame 1 is top left, frame 8 is bottom right - frames 9-12 are missing. You can see the excessive and irregular frame spacing - it starts off at half a frame and ends up being a full frame (approx).
Frame 5 (the dark one) is when the shutter release mechanism jammed. I couldn’t take a photo, and I couldn’t wind the film on. I eventually freed it up by using the multi-exposure setting and cocking the shutter manually, which allowed me to fire the shutter.

nostr:npub15naj2p2rtlzgshly89d47qwk8c5ln2pksdwpracu6ajrkdhchqsq3nu8qm The frame gaps in the image I posted are at the start of the film. By the end of the film, the frame gap was double, or the equivalent of a full frame.
I'm sure #kamerastore will sort it, but it's a pain and inconvenience. This camera was an anniversary present and should have been going with us to document our anniversary celebrations/holiday. That's now not going to happen. And if I keep it, it will always be a reminder of that.
nostr:npub1fae3503mjvjpahjhyuzwrjz228c68hd2tuzqx4dlgpzxmlpalsrsl2y8c9 I don't know what to suggest. #kamerastore was my go to. It's expensive for sure, but I don't mind paying extra if you get quality. It's cheaper in the long run. I did buy an excellent Spotmatic from the Carmencita film labs a couple of months ago. But, they are film processing specialists and only have a small number of film cameras for sale.
nostr:npub1g3l64ydhh5jmtpft5eg36dysw9s2euy32t6apygge2k98azgftks4huraz You did it again!
nostr:npub1g3l64ydhh5jmtpft5eg36dysw9s2euy32t6apygge2k98azgftks4huraz I like the high-key look and love the composition with just one or two people strategically positioned.
nostr:npub1s94sexreyzxhplff85d8el5g64d3aj6uavr3u0kd5d7xpjkk6zjqgpctu0 Nice colours. Dark table seems to be getting more popular, at least judging by the number of posts where it's mentioned.
nostr:npub1gt8hlwekvk5gn2agv94ajm504zupnpks9xuesj9gnvvl4ctm0uzqytl5mp Thanks. Based on my experience, I would say that they do not film test the cameras as that is where most of the problems have been. The main exception was a Horseman VH-R, which came supplied with the wrong cam for the lens. They did get the correct cam, but then conceded there was problem with the rangefinder adjustment. I liked the camera so I still kept it. I don't use the rangefinder and focus on the ground glass.
