Still not sure whether to purchase Procreate. Will it be a overkill for a beginner? I am not sure if I will continue #drawing since I have left several vocations in the past without pushing myself to my limits. What if I leave drawing too? I get it it's not very costly. I have left all mainstream social media about two years ago. Mostly due to toxic hate. Have not logged in to Facebook for more than three years now. Somehow I have grown a chronic apathy towards all those who are addicted to FB and instagram (I left twitter ages ago - too much toxicity there). Browsing mindlessly all the day, I find them everywhere. During my commute, I sometimes feel sorry for them. I just dont get what people achieve from being fed whatever they are thrown at. Most of these people do not contribute to adding valuable content. They are the ones FB and "influencers" make fool of.

Here in #nostr, there is no algo. It is perhaps the most important reason I spend time here. I see what I want to see. Yes, variety is lacking since most people are busy elsewhere. Better nothing than something worthless.

However, I do believe nostr will meet similar fate once the trolls join. It is inevitable. Still I can see some level of control here. I just wish more and more clients keep adding features to mute trolls and some kind of #ai to proactively identify malicious users. Nostr is in a very nascant stage and most people are "crypto bros". But every now and then, I come across users with similar interests as mine. Makes me feel a little good inside. Feels like those days of early internet when people wanted to meet others just to share their thoughts without having any hidden motive.

Since I took up #drawing, I am amazed by the amount of tutorials and free courses available online. I have taken up several vocations in the past — in fact, my main job is all thanks to the winderful internet community — but I have never seen so much content dedicated to a single subject. Mind-blown.
