On April 19, 2024, the Bitcoin block subsidy issuance was cut in half from 6.25 BTC per block to 3.125 #BTC per block.
This lowered Bitcoin’s inflation rate to 0.7% per year, which is lower than gold’s inflation of ~1.5% per year.
#Bitcoin’s Halving issuance is anti-inflationary.
Some conflate what criminals use while committing fraud and crime with those literal items being fraud and crime.
Criminals using Photoshop, computers, email, smartphones, and cars doesn't makes those items criminal.
That'd be like saying, "U.S. dollars are fraud and crime because of Bernie Madoff and #Bitcoin is fraud and crime because of Sam Bankman-Fried."
