Idea for hands-on Bitcoin education (feedback welcome)
I want to try a simple experiment to teach Bitcoin to people close to me in a practical, operational way, not a theoretical one, and I’d like to contrast it with the community.
The idea is this:
I give them an NFC tag with a very clear message:
“Here are your first sats.
Learn, create your on-chain wallet and your Lightning wallet, and when you know how, withdraw them.
Once you succeed, send me 5 sats to prove you know how to use it.
From then on, I’ll start sending you sats periodically.”
On a technical level:
• The NFC points to an LNURL-Withdraw (temporary, conscious custody).
• There are no step-by-step instructions.
• There is no recommended wallet.
• There is no manual to follow — there are already many good ones online.
The learning process involves:
• understanding Bitcoin / Lightning
• understanding how to receive and send
• creating an invoice
• distinguishing on-chain vs Lightning
• taking responsibility
After that, the second step is knowing how to send those 5 sats back and demonstrate control. Along the way, many doubts and questions will naturally appear — the same ones we all had — and that’s where the real value lies.
I’m not looking for gamification or “Bitcoin for kids”, but for:
• minimal but real friction
• sovereignty from the start
• understanding before using
I’m especially interested in:
• criticism of the approach
• pedagogical improvements
• more sovereign alternatives
• similar experiences you’ve already tried

Idea para educación práctica en Bitcoin (feedback bienvenido)
Quiero probar un experimento sencillo para enseñar Bitcoin a mi círculo cercano de forma operativa, no teórica, y me gustaría contrastarlo con la comunidad.
La idea es esta:
Entrego una etiqueta NFC diciendo algo muy concreto:
“Aquí tienes tus primeros sats.
Aprende, crea tu wallet on-chain, tu wallet Lightning y, cuando sepas hacerlo, retíralos.
Cuando lo consigas, envíame 5 sats para demostrar que sabes manejarte.
A partir de ahí, empezaré a enviarte sats periódicamente.”
A nivel técnico:
• La NFC apunta a un LNURL-Withdraw (custodia temporal, consciente).
• No hay instrucciones paso a paso.
• No hay wallet recomendada.
• No hay manual que seguir, ya hay muchos y muy buenos online.
El aprendizaje pasa por:
• entender Bitcoin/LN
• entender como recibir y enviar
• crear una invoice
• diferenciar on-chain vs Lightning
• asumir responsabilidad
Después, el segundo paso es un saber como devolver esos 5 sats y demostrar control. Por el camino saldrán muchas dudas y preguntas que todos hemos tenido y hay está el gran valor.
No busco gamificación ni “Bitcoin para niños”, sino:
• fricción mínima pero real
• soberanía desde el principio
• entender antes de usar
Me interesa especialmente:
• críticas al planteamiento
• mejoras pedagógicas
• alternativas más soberanas
• experiencias similares que ya hayáis probado
