Still checking NOSTR out.

GM! When I say coffee is divine, this is what I mean. #CoffeeChain

GM fam. Larger mug than normal because I need more caffeine today. Otherwise, like a cat, I'd probably snooze all morning. #Coffeechain

Oh yeah, it definitely takes on some extra weight post-9/11. And appreciate the clarification -- sadly, I've encountered weirder conspiracy theories than that one.

The WTC was bombed in '93 (just not destroyed), and Biggie's song's from '94.

Seriously. Everything I was hoping for.

GM and happy Sunday. Stack sats and consume caf. #coffeechain

GM, NOSTR!

Caffeinating and getting ready to see what I missed overnight. #coffeechain

Fair point, but while ETH is a scam, I guess I wouldn't feel bad throwing it at an exchange for fiat or BTC -- if anything, they're a major part of the scam, so taking some of their money doesn't feel bad.

(Also probably a moot point -- don't think anyone's planning on offering me any.)

Talking to a co-worker who is heavy into Eth, and he thought he'd get me by asking if I'd turn Eth down.

That's almost the exact same thing we (collectively) often say to NoCoiners about BTC, and it's a bad question on both fronts.

Yeah, I'd take Eth. Because I could swap it into Bitcoin. Or fiat if I needed some. I also don't want a motorcycle, but if you gave me one, I could swap that for money as well.

And no matter what they say, any nocoiner, if you handed them something worth $60K, would take it, if only to swap for fiat.

GM Nostr! It's just regular coffee in this mug, no matter what it's labeled. But it's strong and will get me through the morning. #Coffeechain

Yeah, even as the UI keeps getting worse, it has the Network Effect thing, where there's just more discussion and users for any given topic than elsewhere, so leaving requires giving up access to all that until it can be built up elsewhere (which can take ages). Similar to how some folks don't leave Facebook because their friends/family are all on it.

Here's the thing about Assange:

Yes, on the one hand, it really does seem like the sexual harassment allegations against him are true (not rising to a criminal level, but definitely to a "women might reasonable not want to be alone with him" level). And all indications of his personality are that he's kind of an ass.

None. Of. That. Matters.

He's being persecuted specifically for helping tell the truth. Obama refused to go after him, recognizing his press freedoms. But Trump hates press freedoms, and Biden's content to let Trump's actions stand.

That's bullshit. This needs to end.

#FreeAssange

Obligatory first note. Still exploring NOSTR, but like the Primal interface. The barrier to entry's definitely higher than some other services, but I'm guessing that's a tradeoff with privacy/decentralization.
