When money is abundant, so is the fear of losing it.
If it is true that Faketoshi is going to sue Apple - then what we have is a true clash that might take place in our legal system but it truly being arbitrated by God and his people.
Someone within Apple published a document that is available for free all over the internet. All of the intellectual “property” in the document are already implemented in open source projects all over the world.
It strains credulity that the largest company in the world will allow some psychotic litigious patent troll to earn a penny without testing the limits of what the American judicial system will allow.
Once and for all, this idiot is either going to meet his match and get stomped out of existence - or we’ll just have to integrate the piece of shit into our new system and have to learn to live with it.
He already flagged himself as Web3. We need better enemies.
I have a friend who fixes miners. I think of him like a veterinarian who restores life to the living. He literally creates hash, difficulty, and security with his hands.
Every expired miner that comes back to life and online makes the network more decentralized, makes it more costly to attack, and makes every SHA256 hash that much more focused, purposeful, and consequential.
It’s possible that when aliens consider our solar system - they see nothing but electrical output. It’s possible that every hash added to the network promotes the discovery of more and cheaper power, leading to a larger population that uses even more power.
It’s possible that the ultimate breakthrough in power and human flourishing will come when aliens who master space travel notice us enough to come here and teach us how to take power usage to the next level and support 50 billion people thriving on Earth.
It’s also possible that every day we don’t show that potential - we set ourselves up for predation by the same beings or ourselves.
Repair a miner or send a dead one to my friend. We have aliens to meet.
I appreciate that. I’m classically a generalist so I try to literally learn everything about a system - I don’t care if it takes me till my death bed - but I will understand it in sum and find connections.
This is how I found Bitcoin to begin with and will stay in this rabbit hole until it will no longer have me.

Waking up everyday and thinking deeply about some aspect of the Bitcoin network is the greatest gift I could have ever given myself.
This morning it’s about the risks of having a hot wallet on Lightning and the various strategies to mitigate that risk without trading off liquidity, capacity, and connectivity
This could be a theme song of Bitcoin

What’s the price of BTC by the time it becomes a wine normie virtue signal and we hate it?
“What if money was no object?”

Reading Bitcoin content that glorifies the current system infuriates me.
Stop giving power to degrees, credentials, and prestige - and thinking simultaneously that you are an aperture for Bitcoin signal.
I went to their website and didn’t see the Yirg. Looks like a special batch they had for a short time.
They’re on my radar now.
Damn - I want to make a batch in my setup.
Yirgacheffe is a terrific region. The best roaster for this used to be LaColombe who had a YirgZ that drank like a lemon balm tea with incredible consistency.

Everyone who has ever failed to protect the people they love - did so by placing trust where they shouldn’t have.
A persons mistrust of institutions tells me a lot about how reliable they are to people who depend on them.
Never trust when verification is possible. When not possible, standards must be so high that life is hard.
Responsibility demands the strength to live a life of limited trust.
Everyone is caught up in an issue or two. Very few are caught up in the right issue.
It’s all about the corrupt money.
Get caught up in it.

Every day is another block in the chain.
Some transactions that go in blocks are life-or-death and only happen through the permissionless property of Bitcoin.
Same goes for the life we live and some of the moments that define our proof-of-work chain - for better or worse.
Leave room for your node. CryptoCkoaks should be designing a comfy case for rectal storage.
My Bitcoin knowledge stack and my ability to converse is my credential. You will need to put in effort to find out what I have to offer and that’s how I want it.
